Sounds like your hook to needle timing is off. When you sew through thick materials, a lot of machines
have issues where the needle sticks in the fabric but all the internal parts shift and this causes the hook to needle timing to go out. The begging signs of this is skipping stitches. You will have to have you local independent sewing store do this adjustment for you

Hope that helps :)

How does bobbin work

don't forget to load the spool under the foot plate with cotton as well and make sure its loose thred it up and try to watch if it picks it up from under the foot and pull it out so you have one cotton from the bobbin and one coming out from under the foot through a small hole and try again
let me know if you still have problems with it the timeing might be out a bit as well

try cleaning under the needle plate & in bobbin area for loose threads or lint
try using a new needle--make sure the needle is inserted correctly in the needle holder
try rethreading the machine top & bobbin
if you try all these suggestions & the machine still won't pick up the bobbin thread then it's possible that the machine is out of time & would have to be retimed at a sewing machine shop

My Riccar Super Strech Electronic Foot 808 E will not pick up bobbin thred?

Generally, this is because your needle is bent, even if you can see that it is. It only has to be the slightest bit bent. Try changing the needle and see if this fixes the problem. 9 times out of 10, it does.

Best of luck!

I am not able thred the thred from the bobbin. The thred got jammed up when I was sewing, and I removed the bobbin and now I can't get the thred back in.

What is blocking the hook and shuttle? I am not too sure what you are asking, where are you trying to put the thread? Please, be more clear.

The needle is not picking the thred from the lower

The timing mechanism is likely off. Take off the plastic bobbin case and see if the eye of the needle, on its way up, is just below the metal hook that catch the thread. If not, you need to ajd the timing mechanism

Cant bring up bottom thred even after we read how to

re thread the upper and lower threads

make sure the bobbin is in the correct way (check manual for the correct spin on the bobbin clockwise or counter clockwise

change needle or check that it is in correct, if it has a flat side goes to the back, the long groove on the needle when goes down should just meet with the hook in the bobbin area to pick up the thread

Top thread won't grab bobbin thred. It's a Kenmore Mini Ultra

Re-sync the bobbin to the hook:
the needle should "pick up" the bobbin thread when the needle is about 1/4 inch below the hook move the mechanism slowly and, observe the interaction and you will see the adjustment screws on the carrier shaft you will need to adjust
