Question about Computers & Internet
I'm assuming you have the Chicony version of this webcam, since it is a Toshiba. If you can later post the model number of the laptop you are using and what OS is has, that would be helpful.
Here are three things you can try.
1. Go to Start, and type "msconfig" in the search box, and hit enter. Click on the "Startup" tab, and look in the list of things that start up when your computer does. If you see anything to do with "Chicony" or "Toshiba", uncheck them. Restart, and see if Yahoo can access the camera.
2. Go into "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. Look for Toshiba's Chicony software, and hit 'Change' (Not uninstall!). See if the software can be reset.
3. Go to Toshiba's website, and search for your model laptop. In the support section for driver downloads, check to see if there is an updated version of the software for the camera, or an updated version of a driver for the camera itself. If so, download and install.
Hope one of these three works. If not, get back to me with the model number and I'll see what I can do.
