Question about Canon PIXMA MX340 Wireless Office All-in-One InkJet Printer
I had the same problem and it was making me crazy. I finally realized, that you have to open MP Navigator, go to scan, go to preferences, and there under the general tab at the top where it says select printer, you have to select the networked name of your printer/scanner and not the default name, which is the same at the beginning so easy to overlook. (of course you have to have set up the network first)

You should have the "Canon IJ Network Scan Utility" installed and enabled. Before scanning, set the printer to save images to the PC, as indicated in the printer's LCD panel.
The Canon IJ Network scan utility comes with the printer installation disk.
That's the way it works with my MX347.
