Question about Dirt Devil Reaction Twin Cyclone Upright Vacuum
I have a Dirt Devil Reaction vacuum that the handle release pedal popped out and because it was broken, I purchased a new pedal. Now that I have the part (and it is the right one), I can't get it into the vacuum correctly. How do I insert this part without breaking it?

take off the bottom like you are replacing the belt. You will find a little metal clip that controls the upright lock. It may be lose or broken.

Yep check the hose at the back as it may well be clogged. Also undo the soleplate/floorhead and have a look up the dirt channel behind the floor brush. Either that take off the main bin and check the dust channel leading down to the hose.

The manual is confusing - I had the same problem. Make sure you put the belt around the smaller motor axle, not the lever arm attached to the on/off foot switch. It's a bit counter-intuitive, but that was my problem with this. Jeff
