Hi,
It sounds either volume down button is bad that turns volume down on its own or system control chip got defective and decreasing volume level.
Press volume down button on tv front and check is it working properly.
Let me know to find out further info to solve the issue.
Thanks.

I Tried the volume up button & it changes the channel? The down button raises it? I have added External Speakers, though not as good as the surround sound the T.V. has. And I guess I could use those speakers if I have to with a lot of expence for now. Or maybe U can suggest a way inexpensively to repair OR Take the volume bar off the screen by taking the module out or something. I would like it fixed but SS doesn't pay a lot. Thanks

OK, sounds system control chip is decreasing volume level on its own and system control board need to be replaced.
External speaker hook up is better and less expensive way to get tv sound.

Thank you!! A strange thing happened last night after we had converesed. The sound started coming up slowly And after a hour or so it pretty much stayed on at 63 full volume or down only once in a while to 61 or 62????It has been broken for a month???? Of course the up volume used to work only on the volume, now it works on changing the channel???I And the volume bar is still on. also have no control on all of the other features on the T.V.. Will the new control panel also make the other features work?? and if I disconnect the control panel will the volume bar go off of the TV? I don't want it to buirn into the screen. And since there is no diagram on the system control board, where is it?

Thank you so much ,You have been GREAT!!

OK, click HERE to download free copy of service manual, please download all 13 files and unzip with Winrar software to get pdf manual file that will help you to fix this tv.
If you are handy person then remove/ unplug connector from front control buttons board and turn On tv and check volume level, if it remains same that means touch buttons on control board are defective and causing problem.

My remote will not turn the tv on or adjust the sound, it will change channels

First, try pressing TV on the remote, check if that solves the problem. Then press Sat and try the TV power button again. If the remote previously controlled the TV, you lost the code for the TV. If you have your Dish Network manual, check if you wrote down the code when it was originally programmed. Which specific remote/receiver do you have? The programming directions and code lists are available here: http://www.dishnetwork.com/supportsection/remote-setup . You can also scan all of the codes to find the correct one: see http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions . Additional remote/receiver manuals are here: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/manuals .

The direct coding procedure for the Dish remote that I have is: while facing the TV to be controlled (after adjusting the key for TV1/TV2 in a multiple TV system), press and hold TV until all four indicators light up. Then enter the 3 digit code. Press and release the # key. Then see if the code TV powers off when you press Power. Then press Sat and check if the TV power button works. Try additional codes if the TV doesn't respond.

If you recently got a new TV and you tried to program the remote for your TV, your dish remote may not have the code you need. (Most universal remotes are limited to codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed.) In that case, you should use the TV remote (and see if it has an option to control the satellite receiver). Alternatively, get a new universal remote that will control all of your devices. (The remotes that can be programmed by USB are the easiest to set up.)

I hope this helps.
