Question about InFocus Projector Lamp for IN24+, IN26+

How do you open the filters on a InFocus in24+ to clean?

    tried vacuum and not helping.......the claim is there are specific filters and fan that needs cleaned or this wont stop it now shuts off every 10 minutes

There are no filters but i would use a vacuum at the case openings

1 Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. 2 Wait 60 minutes to allow the projector to cool thoroughly. 3 Turn the projector upside down on a soft cloth so that the lamp door is facing you. 4 Slide the lamp door off. WARNING: Be extremely careful when removing the lamp housing. In the unlikely event that the bulb ruptures, small glass fragments may be generated. The lamp housing is designed to contain these fragments, but use caution when removing the lamp housing. Before replacing the lamp, clean the lamp compartment and dispose of cleaning materials. Wash hands after lamp replacement. Hg ? Lamp contains mercury. Manage in accordance with local disposal laws. 5 Detach the lamp connector from the projector by depressing the locking tab on the connector and lightly pulling it free. 6 Loosen the captive screw that attaches the lamp housing to the projector.Carefully remove the lamp housing. Dispose of the lamp in an environmentally proper manner. 7 Install the new lamp housing and tighten the screw. 8 Re-attach the lamp connector to the projector. The locking tab should engage when the connector is fully plugged in. 9 Replace the lamp door by sliding it into place. Be sure the lamp connector wires are not in the way. 10 Plug in the power cord and press the Power button to turn the projector back on. 11To reset the lamp hour timer, navigate to the Settings>Service menu and select Reset Lamp Hours.

Resetting the lamp timer on an infocus in24 projector


To reset the lamp timer on an in24 go to settings, then select Service. The option to reset lamp hours should be in this menu.

If you are experiencing a colured blob, usually lack of blue producing yellowy stain. The cause is excess heat on the blue LCD panel. This is a replacement job on the panel as it won't recover.
Keeping the air ways clean and filters clean will help to stop the growth.

Take off the front bezel, then remove the screws from the lens,pull the lens out and blow it out with compressed air. Do not touch the mirror or magnifier inside. If this doesn't get all of the blemishes, then you will have to remove the top cover and then the top silver part of the engine and blow it out from the top.

Screen goes blank and projector shuts downafter about 10 minutes (IN24 In Focus projector)


ballast/ power supply issue. you'll need to send it in to an infocus service center for repair. try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com
