Question about Televison & Video
This could be caused by one or two things, One being a defective DMD chip. or the DMP module which also holds the DMD chip, If these spots are small pixel like lights that are stationary or they appear in the exact same spot on the screen then this may be cause by one of the 650,000 some mirrors on the DMD chip. These mirrors on the chip are on hindges that tilt back and forth depending wether pos or neg voltage is applied to them. By the way DMD stands for (Digital Mirror Device).. In this case it just may be wiser to replace the optics engine instead of the chip because the price could be more for the DMD module then the entire Engine as Engines are getting rather cheap these days....
