There should be a tube with red ends that fits into a bracket when not in use below the pushing handle of the stroller. This is removed & put into place where there are two holes to this effect on the sides of where the child would sit when there is no car seat on top. The car seat should then "click" into postion when pushed down on the tube.

I have the same problem, the airline broke ours the last time we flew. I just found on Graco's website that you can order replacement parts. Here is the link, http://www.gracobaby.com/store/order/default.asp?N=10418+10413+10421&Ne=11
You'll need the model number and serial number. I found ours on a sticker under the footrest. For our stroller it's $19 plus shipping for the front wheel assembly.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: lost instructions
You will need to know your stroller's model #, but you can easily use that along with the style of the stroller to get the manual directly for the link below:

Recline the stroller seat. There are probably little plastic handles on each side of the stroller seat that you push in while you stand behind the stroller, to recline that seat. Then, you put the carrier into the stroller, facing the back of the stroller. The little notches in the bottom of the carseat fit right onto the edge of the stroller tray. You can test that you've done it right by pulling upward on the carseat. It should not come up and out of the stroller unless you pull the red handle on the back of the carseat as you life the handle of the carrier. I hope this helps!

Testimonial: "Looks like a slightly different system as FixYa would not let me enter the correct name. Carrier feet in tray was the key fix. Thanks."
