Hello,

If you currently have a PC that is connected via wireless you can download/run this program which will display the key ("password phrase").

Is there a way to just reset the passkey and start over because the program I just ran shows no passwords stored on my pc

  • Sulaimon Jimoh Olayemi Jun 05, 2010

    Hello,

With the unit on, place an straightend paperclip into the hole on the
back on the unit labeled Reset.

Hold the paperclip/reset down for 10 seconds and now release it.

The unit will reboot on its own.
As soon as the lights stop
    blinking, the unit is ready.

    OR

On the back of your router there is a little black reset button. Use a
pen or paper clip and press down for 10 seconds. Make sure the lights
on the router stop blinking for one second. Release the button and make
sure to reset your wireless security and network ID.

If that doesn't work just unplug your routers power cord. This is the
easiest way to reset your internet connection without resetting your
    router to factory settings.

If neither of those work, unplug the power cord of your modem. This
will completely reset the internet connection without resetting the
    routers settings.

    Take care.

My netbook is connected and the signal strength is excellent but it won allow me to go to any websites

The signal strength is of the LAN modem. Only when the internet connection is provided to the LAN modem, you will be able to access internet on your notebook.

Can't remember password for wireless and so can't connect my new laptop

For you to retrieve the password of your Wireless Network, connect your computer to the router using ethernet cable. Access the router's page through it's LAN IP and go to the Wireless Configuration page to check the Wep key. Hope this helps.

Not able to configure and connect to internet using router

Try 192.168.0.0 which would be the default address to access your modem. This should allow you to go into the modem and adjust changes. I know on the bottom of my router there is an administrator default password that can e used to access the mainframe of the modem. Check out these features in there. I would start first by connecting via LAN again and then try to conntect to it via a WAN but again see if you can access the modem using the 192.168.0.0.

Definition of the sound card, internet lan & wireless lan

The definition of the sound card, is a chipset integrated into the main board of your laptop, in order to provide sound to your built-in speakers, or to the headphone jack on your laptop. Internet LAN (or Local Area Network) is a port located either on the side or the rear of your computer, where you would plug in a Cable/DSL High-Speed Internet connection, using an Ethernet cable (also called RJ-45). Wireless LAN is the same idea, only instead of using an ethernet cable to provide you access to the internet, it uses a wireless signal or radio frequency, to connect to a wireless access point (usually provided by a wireless router in the area). WD MYBOOK

Both the remote computer and local computer need to be on the same LAN . Also, remember, MioNet can only grant access to computers that are on and connected to the Internet.

The (My Resource tab) allows access to your personal data on any computer.

The (Shared with Me tab) allows you to view files shared by others.

The (Shared with Others tab) allows you to start sharing your own folders and webcams with others.
