Drivers door window replacement

Remove inner door panel and remove the glass that is left in the window track. Apply glue and place new glass in track and give it plenty of time to dry and set. Then replace inner door panel after all is fine.

First get a new glass on the way, then YouTube window installation for your type of vehicle, seeing how window regulators are replaced might give you a partial idea towards replacement.

could be a couple of thing on is the pieces of broken glass went into the lock assembly or a rod got bent replacing the glass

best to buy this as an assembly. remove the drivers door panel behind the door is the window motor and regulator assembly. unbolt the regulator from the glass and remove the glass or prop the glass in the up position unbolt the motor and remove the assembly from the door and reinstall the assembly be carefull to position the nuts for the glass and make sure the pads that protect the glass are in place dont over tighten the nuts on the glass part or you will explode the glass

take out the door padding
unscrew the glass from the panel
take the glass support kit out
remove the motor and replace it.
NOTE : MAKE SURE THE WIRE DOESNT TRIP OFF THE PULLY.

remove the door trim from the inside of the door, now remove the door plastic weather protector which should expose the window glass and also the electric motor and winder mechanism.
There will be a plastic wire connector inside the door which will have to be disconnected to remove the electric motor etc.

REMOVAL


Remove the door trim panel.

Detach the door speaker.
Remove the speaker retaining screws.



Remove the door speaker.
Disconnect the multiplug.




Detach the watershield.
Using a plastic knife (disposable cutlery), cut through the Butyl strip to enable the watershield to be peeled back.
CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.


Connect the window operating switch electrical connector.




Remove the window retaining bolts. NOTE: Align the window retaining bolts with the access holes.
Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the glass.
Lift the glass.
Tip the glass forwards and remove the glass.
INSTALLATION

To install, reverse the removal procedure

The glass should bolt to the window channel on the bottom of the window. Roll the window all the way up and duct tape it to the top of the door.
