SOURCE: 360 Xbox problem Three red rings
Unfortunately there is nothing that you can directly do to fix this problem.
You have a hardware failure. Microsoft will repair your unit for you under warranty / recall.

We rent out a hundred or so of these consoles.
Three red lights means the cpu has moved away from it's socket.
Very common in the earlier models. (caused by excessive heat)
Microsoft has agreed to fix this problem free of charge even if the warranty has expired.
I read the e-mail Harvey Norman recieved but you should be able to check it out on x-box site or check where you purchased the console.

the 3 red rings are the worst and there is no way to fix it, i tried wrapping a towel around it and leaving it for an hour or so and that worked for me... the is a good old xbox remidee, but if that dosnt work then call the hot line and you will have to send it off.. the usually have it back in about a week

E73: General Hardware Error: Ethernet port... this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet
It is actually the solder under the GPU which is giving the error code.
Is it covered under warranty from Microsoft? If not we can fix this for you.We are listed on this site for repair service.

unplug everything except the power cable and put the xbox on a towel and put another towel on top try to cover the whole thing. turn it on and let it over heat for about 30 minutes. take the towels off and let it cool down for about 15 minutes. plug it back in and dominate!!
