Several problems occurred after connecting a Nintendo video game. Initial problems involved response to the cable and TV remote control and response to TV panel controls. After pressing the reset button, and unplugging the TV in an attempt to reset the TV, the problems deteriorated to no picture. The current problem is a green and white looking test pattern, and no picture. Audio comes through OK, but without volume bars. I thought the problem was the DLP lamp, but a replacement bulb didn't make a difference.

The lamp has to be lit for the OSD to be present. the video processor is likely where the problem lies. I would suggest one of the following circuits SD Ram Circuit, Scaler input and or Capture circuittry and quite possibly the light engine itself all though the light engine would be very last on the list.

MY SAMSUNG LCD TV MODEL LNS4695DX HAS A SNOWY PICTURE CAN SEE PICTURE BUT IS VERY SNOWY I TRIED ALL INPUTS WITH CABLE DVD AND A GAME SYSTEM BUT NOTHING CHANGES AND THE WIERD PART IS WHEN I HIT THE MENU...

The OSD comes from a different area---if on all inputs it is on a board that processes all signal in the set--tuner,AV etc

You might want to Google the model number with "parts" to come up with a list of the boards and prices if possible for them.

My JVC AV-32432 tv unresponsive

Can you switch between tuner and inputs? If not then you may have a number of problem i.e;input selector or controller i.c. If you can switch to tuner(cable) and do not get picture then you may want to check your tv cable connection at the back and along the line (splitters) or your tuner may be defective

Have the tuner signal board replaced. HDMI does not use the regular tuner bands, it is bypassed when using hd inputs.

Hitachi snowy screen and noisy

you have broken solder connections inside the tuner, you`ll need a tech as it is soldered in and once removed the board inside will have to be re-soldered. An alternative would be to use the AV outputs of your cable box or vcr to the AV input of your tv, this bypasses the tuner circuit, you will of course have to go into the tv`s menu and switch to AV 1 or AV 2 whichever input you use, good luck& Happy Holidays

61g9uxc Toshiba Rear Projection Convergence Problem

ronniezay,
Don't replace the convergence board, but take it in and have the convergence amps replaced. That unit takes two stk392-110 IC's and are fairly inexpensive compared to replacing the entire module. In fact, ask to have them replaced with a more reliable stk392-150's...

Tv seems ok by static and now, no sound (or very faint)

The problem you're describing sounds like a tuner problem. BUT you say that you have the same problem with A-V input too. That's weird!!! Possibly the electronic TV-AV switching circuit is messed up and stuck in the TV (tuner) position. If this is the case you DO have a tuner problem and a switching problem too.

sounds like this set is in the UK??? or somewhere out of the states. If it working good on the tuner or telex box , the equipment your plugging into the AV inputs are not compadible to the tv set or there is a setting in the TV menu to change the format to pal

If one tv looks good and another one dosent look good or operate correctly then we know for sure that the problem is not the antenna. Now the menu comes up ok because the menu is injected after the tuner into the video curcuit from a osd or microprocessor. sounds like you could have a defective tuner or antenna block assy.
