Question about Sony VAIO VGN-FS742/W Notebook
I've had a problem with the screen on this laptop flickering and going out from time to time. It's been an issue on and off since about the first year into owning it.
When it was under warranty the repair support had me run a series of tests and then told me it could NOT be a hardware problem.
We replaced the inverter recently and restored the computer hoping it would solve the issue but the flickering continues. Sometimes it is not bad but at other times it is like fireworks going off inside the screen.
It seems worse since I restored the computer than it was before. Just wondering what else it could be. There is also horrible noise (like conflicting programs) when it is starting up and the Windows sound plays. Has been a problem since day one. Have tried everything we can.
Flickers dont occur because of invereter, inverter controls the light and the light only meaning the contrast of it so who ever told you to change inverter is stupid.
the problem is eiterh the cable connector "70%"
or the screen itself "20%" or the graphic chip "10%"
the percentage is the chances of what it is. what I bet on
