Have you tried it with another charger car charger or home to see if it is just that charger or if it is the battery or the port if you hook it to another charger and it doesnt recognize the connection and say charging its the port and you will need a replacement if it is recognizing it but the battery wont charge and its doing the same thing its the battery or it will work fine and then its just the charger depending on what insurance you have and how long you have had it the retail store may be able to warranty the charger they never warranty batteries and they run 49.99 generally that model is old you will probably have to get it some where else i doubt they still carry it try amazon.com or overstock.com or ebay best places for cheap cell batteries for your model they run about 9.99 never go to verizon for a new battery they are way overrated

When I attempt to charge my moto q via an power outlet or car charger the charge powers the phone but not the battery. when I attempt to charge it by computer it there is normally a 30% chance it will...

I have the same problem with my iPhone. The only real way and best way to get a charge on a phone is through a wall charger. Car chargers and computer/usb to charge doesn't actually do anything but "top off" the battery. They don't produce enough power to give the batter a strong charge like the wall can.
That's my best advice. Charge from the wall when at home. Use the car to top off when your on the go.

My phone is not charging

Hello,

If your phone is not charging, try use a similar charger to charge to see if it is charger problem, if the similar charger did not charge your phone, it means the problem is the charging port on your phone.

The charging port of your phone is bad and will need to be replace. Replace the charging port on your phone to solve the problem of your phone not charging.
Once the charging port is replaced, the not charging problem with your phone solve.

Take care.

Motorola razr2 v9m wont charge

My guess is that the charging port in your phone has gone bad. By holding it a certain way, you may be reconnecting it just enough to make the connection. Probably have a loose or broken wire inside your phones port. You may also see this is a problem if you try to hook it up to a pc.

MY NEW PHONE WAS NOT CHARGING VIA WALL WHEN CONNECTED TO COMPUTER STARTED TO CHARGE THEN TRIED WALL KEPT CHARGING LATER TRIED WALL AGAIN AND NOT CHARGING????

There is probably something wrong with the wall socket charger. Try a different charger on your phone and a different phone on your charger and see which ones work.

Wont charge

Try a car charger. If the car charger works, then it is either
A) Your power outlet
B) Your wall charger Power Supply unit
C) The phone connector on your wall charger.

If it doesn't work on the car charger, then it is most likely your phone charging system or the connection for charging on your phone. Either way, you will most likely need a new phone. Sorry.

Charging

USB and wall chargers use different pins on the phone. This tells me one of your pins if dirty or the wall charger is fried.

  1. Take a toothpick or brush and scrub the contacts on the bottom of the phone
  2. Inspect the phone and charger pins for dirt / debris
  3. Try charging again
If this does not work, try your charger with another phone (if available). You can also take it into any cell store to test it.

Battery charging problem

Seems like it may be your wall charger.
I would inspect your connectors (both charger & phone) as well though (for dirt or debris).
I would also suggest using Motorola's wall chargers, the products seem to charge best with them rather than the after-market knock-offs which also seem to damage the phones connectors on some models.
