This could potentially be a very easy solution. First you need to verify if when you open the door does the carrier stop immediately regardless of where it is in its rotation or does it continue to a certain point every time and stop in the same place?

If it stops in the same place you need to adjust the alignment bar on top of the shaft. On top of the oven remove the metal shields covering the rotation and lift assembly. You will see a steel ring with two small bars coming out of it attached to the top of the shaft, these bars strike the rack alignment switch when the come around. Have someone on the ground center the rack carrier. Loose the metal ring set screw and turn it until it is sticking the switch, you'll hear it click. Tighten it a little bit and have them start the oven and open the door to see if it stops straight. Continue making adjustments until it is stopping straight.
If when you open the door the rotation stops immediately regardless of which way the carrier is pointing then you have an issue with your rack alignment or pointer switch. Usually in this case the switch needs to be replaced, but sometimes its just a matter of a wire fell off the switch. Before you try to replace any wires make sure the power to the oven is off.

Electrolux Icon Oven self cleaning won't start- the lock button keeps flashing. Yes, the racks and rack holders are removed.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Electrolux Icon oven, model# E30SO75ESS, and running the self-clean cycle. I see that the lock button keeps flashing and that you have the racks and rack holders out. I suggest following the steps below to run your self-clean cycle:

    1) Place the rack holders and the racks in your oven.

    2) Reset your appliance, by shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes.

    3) Restore power.

    4) Reset the clock, by pressing the "Clock" button then press the number "2". Enter in the time of day, and then press the "Clock" button again.

    5) Start the self-clean cycle with the racks in your range. This is to make your oven recognize that the racks are in the oven.

    6) Take the racks and rack holders out and start the self-clean cycle again.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your oven status has changed successfully.

    -Best Regards-
    WP

I'm following the instructions on my Whirlpool range to clean the oven. I've done everything the instructions said, but it won't get going. ( set the knob to clean, set start and stop knobs...

Might be a typo in the manual typically the latch is moved to the right to close and after clean is over move to the left to open. BE SURE TO REMOVE RACKS BEFORE CLEANING

I have no manual,, been here 1 year and now need to clean the oven,, There is a 'auto clean' button,, Do I just push it,,, removing racks of course. Need an answer right away,, company coming...

Remove racks and crank up the a/c. It is going to get literally 900 degrees in your oven so you need to stay up until it finishes. You absolutely shouldn't go to sleep or leave the house with it running.

The top bar on the inside that holds the racks has stopped spinning during bake.

The top bar, referred to as the "carrier" will only rotate when you start your bake cycle. If there is an issue with the rotation you should hear a steady buzzer about once every second. If you are hearing the buzzer that means the rack alignment switch isn't closing momentarily during rotation like it should be. This could be a result of a number of things, such as a bad rack switch, mis-adjusted rack switch, burned or broken wire on rack switch, bad rotation motor, rotation motor chain or sprockets fell off or are loose, or the shaft switch bar is loose (unlikely).
If you are NOT hearing the beeping then the carrier inside the oven itself could have some loose set screws and the shaft could be spinning freely inside the carrier.
Look on top of the oven and you will see a rectangular shield covering the lift and rotation assembly, remove these covers and verify if the shaft is spinning and hitting the little switch mounted near the top of the shaft.

The rack inside has stopped rotating

On top of the oven is a cover with 6 screws in it, loosen the screws and remove the cover. You will see two pulleys, most likely one of the pulleys are loose, try tightening the set screws, the one on the right can be tricky because the set screw is under the pulley. Good luck!

Oven with an attitude

Check the lineator actuator motor. If you remove the top cover there should be a strip of metal stuck on the cover to put pressure on the gear to keep it from free wheeling down. These is a tiny button/nipple that sits in the hole in the top of the gear shaft. Lose it and you're sunk. Work with good light and watch the grease. Good luck

Electrolux Icon Oven won't self clean - "Remove Racks" displayed

I was getting the remove rack error until I finally figured out what it wanted me to remove. When you say you removed the rack supports, do you mean just the sliding parts or the whole side metal rack support? At first I thought they were bolted in, but I read somewhere that they come out, too. Upon further investigation, I found the rack supports just slide into the side walls at 4 points. I had to use a little force to pull them out, but they came out and my oven is self-cleaning as I write this. I just thought I would share in case you or others haven't figured it out yet. Now I will just have to see how hard it is to get them back in...
