Why won't mypull string recoil

when it broke it may have unwound. the spring has to be wound up before it will recoil. you tube has many videos to show you how to rewind the spring. be careful as when wound up it has pressure on it. also be sure to back it off one turn past the string hole so if you pull all the way out it will not break the spring.

Pull rope will not retract on a rlt30cet

Pull recoil and remove screw holding the string pulley. There's a spring behind it. Find where it hooks to the housing bend it to latch. This is what broke loose. Now wind it all into the designated spot. Attach string pulley and CAREFULLY put back together. Finally wind up insert rope and let it retract. This is a very difficult and frustrating job.

SIDE WIDOW ON SLIDER WAS BROKE NEED TO REPLACE I HAVE THE NEW GLASS HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT BACK ON

If you a do it your selfer not to bad. you will need an assistant. put the big rubber gasket on the new glass , than you will need about 20 feet of good heavy string, it needs to be strong. you tie the ends of the string together than you wil want to place the string in the grouve in the rubber wraping it both ways at the same time. start at the top every time you go around it will cross at the top and bottom. now you are ready one person needs to hold the window in placeon the outside of car keeping steady pressure on it. The other must go inside and unwind the string by pulling the string again using both ends at same time, as it unwinds it will cross itselfe at top and bottom this will seat the gasket. Good luck

My homelite (the shrub sharper 21) pull string broke. I want to replace string. How do I replace new string.

Replacing a pull string on anything is a tricky operation, taking it apart is easy, but getting the springs back in place and everything wound up is not easy. I would suggest finding a local hardware store or equipment rental location, and find somebody to do it for you. I made the mistake of attempting to do it, and 3 hours later and a lifetimes worth of frustration later I got it. Save yourself the trouble and pass it off to somebody else.

Replace pull string (how to put string on after taking cover off)

Basically, pull the string through the winding hole and knot it off insuring no more than .25" tail on the knot and pull tight. :)

I need to fix athe pull string on my toro push behind mower. it has an 195cc tecumseh motor. the string broke and i can't find anything on toro about how to fix it without buying the whole assembly.

remove bolts from cover and remove the cover. Should be able to access the assembly for the pull rope. Go to a local mower repair shop buy some new line. The old line should just be knotted up on the spring loaded wheel in there. You put a new piece on put in a new knot, put some turns on the assembly to basically wing the spring so it snaps back when pulled, put line through whole and attach to pull handle.
