SOURCE: string won't advance automatically. Thank you so

There is a rachet mechanism at the bottom of the spool. make sure the spool is seated fully. Also make sure the string isn't wound too tight or it will stick and not advance.

It's probably not a good idea to do that - the manufacturer designed it to cut 10", and it probably works much better at 10" than at any other diameter.

My worx trimmer line does not feed

According to the manual it only advances 1/2" so if 4" break off, you have to start/stop 8 times.

You don't have to buy one, when you can download one. Here it is:

This is a rather larger PDF file (like 6.6MG) so be patient.

Worx trimmer works for 5 minutes then dies

The battery is dead, Worx contracted with a cheap battery manufacturer, you can buy replacements on ebay, but they will fail quickly too. I recommend getting a new trimmer unless you want to buy new batteries every year.

How Does the line feed?

The line must have been rolled in the wrong direction, I guess it is an ordinary "tap and go" solution. Maybe it is possible to install the line roll upside down? It could be a good idea to double-check.

Good luck!
