Question about Canon PIXMA iP3300 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

I HAVE LINES APPEARING ON COLOURED PRINTS

I am printing from a Canon pixma ip3300. I have tried nozzle clean, alignment and deep cleaning, all of which have not resolved the problem. It is not every print, just now and again. I have replaced all ink cartridges too, in case I was running low.

Thanks

Mhairi

Canon pixma mp530 not printing colour. The cartridges are new, when I print an alignment, no colour prints, only the black and white. I've performed a clean, deep clean, print head alignment, nozzle...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

The prints are coming out distorted and not aligned. Have tried print head, deep cleaning and nozzle check. Cartridges are over 6 months old though.

You must align the printing heads - the option is there, in the same Maintenance window as the cleaning one. Follow the procedure.

Canon Pixma MP620 problem. It prints with a thick white lines going horizontally, so that the texts are faded out and not legible.

You probably need to run maintenance on the printer.
On the LCD do the following: (1)Select Settings on the HOME screen, and press the OK button. (2) Select Maintenance, and press the OK button. (3) Select Nozzle check pattern, and press the OK button. (4) Select Yes, and press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern will be printed and two pattern confirmation screens appear on the LCD.
This will tell you if the nozzles are out of alignment or not.Regardless you should not run the deep cleaning on the print heads. From the LCD do the following and make sure you have several sheets of paper in the printer;
(1) Select Settings on the HOME screen, and press the OK button. (2) Select Maintenance, and press the OK button. (3) Select Deep cleaning, and press the OK button. (4) Select Yes, and press the OK button. The machine starts cleaning the Print Head deeply. Do not perform any other operations until the machine completes the deep cleaning of the Print Head. This takes about 1 minute 30 seconds. (5) Select Yes, and press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern will be printed. (6) Check the nozzle check pattern. See Examining the Nozzle Check Pattern. - If a particular color is not printed properly, replace the ink tank of that color. See Replacing an Ink Tank. - If the problem is not resolved, turn off the power and clean the Print Head deeply again after 24 hours. - If the problem is still not resolved, the Print Head may be damaged.
