Question about Kitchen Ranges

2 Answers

Following the directions in the use and care book we cannot get the cleaning cycle to start. All works well in set up and after we have set time to clean 3:00hr it is supposed to lock and begin cycle in 5 sec, but nothing happens and the cleaning message goes blank in a minute or two.

Thanks for your response, but this is a problem with a double oven, not a dishwasher. The oven cleaning cycle does not begin after it has been set. The doors are supposed to lock and fan turn on to begin to clean. In our case it does not engage and begin to clean. After a minute of two it simple clears the clean command from the display showing only the digital clock.

Dear Ehaunz,
Since your Gadget is not working as per manual, Therefore there could two types of faults viz. software of hardware.
First set your Gadget to factory defaults... still problem persist then sorry you have to get it serviced, because there could be a hardware problem.

Hello

what this means is that there have been a disconnection of wire indication from it position code indicates that the water or dirty sensor reading is out of range (above 23 degrees F or above 217 degrees F)

what you need to do for fixing up this problem is to allow the ranger to dirty up properly and remove any form of dry around the wire so as to allow the indicator to read properly.

please when doing this you will have to put OFF all source of power supply from the ranger

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

    hello,

remember that you were told that the problem is from the wire side

trace the wire down to the device sensor (screen) then clean up the

device properly or if there is any form of this disconnection from the

wire then fix up be position it back jut on the device sensor (screen).

but if you can not do this your self in other to avoid more damage on

    it contact a technician

but it a simple work you should be able to do your self .

    thank you .

Hello.

Please apply the solution this way!

To close an oven door when it's in the locked position and the door is open, press and hold the oven door light switch while following these simple steps:
  • Program the oven to self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Cancel self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
To self-clean your wall oven, follow these simple steps:
  • Remove the oven racks.
  • Set your oven control to "Clean."
  • Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium or heavy. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  • Select "Start." (To set a delayed start, see your Use & Care Guide.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

Thanks for using fixya.

I have a Tromm Washer and Dryer. Washer cycle time taking twice as long as time on indicator. Mildew smell still there after I have cleaned filter and run wash cycle. Drum vibrates horribly on spin...

You may have a problem with the motor sensor. Replace the motor sensor and it should take care of the problem. As for the mold issue, purchase some washing machine cleaner and follow directions. It should take care of most of the smell issue. Good luck

Re: Kenmore Elite Washer 45996-there is mold in detergent and softner container but more on the holes above it when I pull that tray out to clean it--it is very difficult to clean those holes upside down....

The most effective way to clean mold is with bleach. If you have an empty spray bottle, mix a solution of 1 part bleach to 4 parts water. Use the spray bottle to direct the spray at every affected area and let sit for about an hour. Now, put a small amount of bleach in each container (2 ounces) and directly in the tub itself. Run a full wash cycle with (no clothes in the tub) the settings for whites. When the cycle has ended you may want to run another empty cycle if you can still smell bleach to be sure no hidden residue gets on your colored clothes. Be careful when spraying the bleach you don't spray towards yourself.
