check underneath for a solenoid that engages a lever or clutch to connect the belt drive to the base of the tub
it it is not slapping in when it goes to spin , it will not spin
depending on the model, a broken belt is a good possibility. if you hear the motor going, but the bowl isnt moving, that is a sign of a broken belt, it is also possible the motor has failed.
If the dryer has a belt fitted it may have come off or snapped, remove the lid or look underneath and you may see a broken belt. If not belt driven the brushes in the motor may need replacing if they ahve worn.
Hello- A little odd. It sounds to me like the belt is slipping. Sometimes they get stretched out enough that there is not enough pressure on the idler pulley for it to make good contact with the motor pulley. The Idler pulley may be broken as well or the belt has slipped off of it. Another possibility is that the belt has slipped off the motor pulley and is not being driven by the motor. You, or someone, really need to open it and see how the components look when it is on, if possible.
take the back panel off to get to ure belt, but first put ure hand inside ure machine n spin the drum if there is no strain wen tryin t spin the drum n the drum feels very light to spin ure belt has snapped if there is abit of strain u will need ure motor brushes changing
go back inside it and look at the place where the drive connects to the drum is there anything loose or missing that should be attached the drive coupling breaks or comes loose, i dont know about this particular model if its a belt driven or what but look closely at the connection to the drum and see if anything is abviously loose or broken.
