Hi. This will usually be the result of one or more failing components that are mounted on the power board(replacing the power board will correct this issue). I will need the entire model number of this particular unit, if possible. This will allow me to look up the necessary part number needed and chassis schematics, as well.

Please post the model number, asap..

The power sources enters in protected mode when it detects a fault. Judging by how fast the shutdown is my guess is that the problem is on the high tension line.
The only way to find out precisely what the fault is and where is to open the tv and check the voltages. If you're gonna see some bulging electrolytic capacitors you will know for sure.

As i said this is a major hardware fault, not something related to a bad command or setting. The tv must be opened and tested, no way around that.

2004 chev silverado ext cab. No Power steering

Hi Hollings,

You description was very good, I need to ask for a specific.

When you turn to the left, the wheel is stiff like the engine is off or does it turn smoothly but the vehicle doesn't turn or seem to respond.

I'm trying to rule out broken mounts,

Also, if the wheel is all the way to the right, is it difficult turning back to the left the whole way, or half way. See where I'm going.?

Please comment back your findings

Best regards
Mike

Green power light comes on, the turns right back off. No picture. Please help

I'm not sure what TV model you have. But, thing I can tell you is the most common problem.
Most of the time with flat panel TVs, the power supply for the screen fails. And the TV normally turns itself off to protect other parts in the TV from being damaged. Basically " Protection Mode".

You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself; then try again turning it on. If it doesn't work after that, it's time for the TV repair shop.

Will not turn back on

Take off back cover. The problem power board is to the right of the board where the power plug feeds into the TV. There is a large white fuse right bend the power plug. With a meter it read ok; about 8 inches deeper into the TV on that board was the resister next to two fuses. My 4 amp 125 volt fuse did not read on my meter. After replacing, it worked fine.
