SOURCE: Gas powered pressure washer wont start

On pressure washers the more you pull the cord the more pressure builds up making it difficult to pull and start. I hold the trigger down as i pull this keeps the pressure down. If this is not the problem then take a look at the Spark plug, Air Filter if all is fine then check the fuel. How often do you use it, fuel loses its Octane when sitting around. Please give a 4 THUMBS UP if this free answer is helpful in anyways. Good Luck and have a Great Day.

Poured oil in the gas tank by mistake of Honda water pressure model GCV160. Drained the gas tank, changed spark plug, drained carburetor still will not start

Sounds like you have oil in the gas galleries of the carb. Fill it with gas turn gas valve on and try starting it a few times with starting fluid to help rince/thin them out so gas can flow through them again. It may smoke more than usual for a while. Dont keep it running on the starting fluid though as it has no lubrication for the cylinder/rings and could scar the cylinder walls. If that doesnt work you can remove it and try to do it manually with a can of carb cleaner or get a new carb. They're on ebay for about $20 or a small engine supllier near you will have one for about the same or a little higher.

hi marlo. check the fuel level, the air filter, and the spark plug. clean or replace as necessary. then get a can of starter fluid and an assistant. give the air intake area, by the air filter a couple of squirts of starter fluid and then start it up. keep it running by squirting more starter fluid for up to 2 minutes until it will run on it's own. the pressure relief valve(bypass) is most likely stuck or clogged. take the relief valve off and check for broken or jammed parts..there should be a bypass hose that goes around the pressure valve
