Question about HP Computers & Internet
My TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632D ata dvd drive that came pre-installed in my HP Pavillion dv6633 is not working properly. My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit/x86. I can see the device in My Computer. I does seem to be able to ''erase'' CDRWs but can't read the CDs after a burn attempt. I have tried to burn with Windows Media Player and it seems like it is burning, ejects it when apparantly done burning but when I attempt to load the disc to test if it reads it, it doesn't. I have did a factory system restore and still doesnt work. I have also unistalled drivers through Device Manager and rebooted my system so driver could re-install. The drivers re-install but still nothing. It shows on the Device Manager as ''working properly''. I have tried to burn on both CDRW and CDR and still nothing. I have used a utility to remove filters on the registry and that hasn't worked either. I really need help. By the way. both cds were of MEMOREX brand.
Most of the time MEMOREX brand is not compatible with HP.
Try a diffrent brand and check if it works.
