The Pioneer DEH-P2000 sometimes does not take my disk in. When i push it in my self nothing happans but it ejects just fine, it just doesnt take my disk in. If you have any suggestions on what I can do...

These cd players have sensors in them to detect when a cd is put in. One of the sensors must be faulty, but there is nothing the end user can do to remedy this. It must be checked out be a professional technician who specializes in car stereos. It is an electronic problem. The sensors are photo-transistors, they detect a disc when the light that they emit is interupted or blocked by the disc being inserted. There is just no way to fix it other than taking the cd mech apart and replacing these surface mount components which require excellent soldering skills and very good mechanical skills to disassemble and reasemble the cd mech.

If I can be of further assistance just let me know. And if you found this information helpful a rating of "FixYa" would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave
