This problem is due to a bad battery. All rechargeable battery have a charging limit of upto 1000-3000 charges, after that it will loose its ability to get charged, so you will have to replace the battery.

My phone only works when it's plugged into the charger

New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. You can charge the battery in two ways: • Charging the device’s battery by connecting the power adapter. • Connecting your device to a PC via the provided Mini USB cable. Note: Only the AC adapter and USB cable provided with your device should be used to charge the device. Charging is indicated by a solid amber light on the left LED indicator. As the battery is being charged while the device’s power is on, a charging icon will be shown on the title bar of the Today screen. After the battery has been fully charged, the left LED becomes green and a full battery icon appears on the Today screen’s title bar. Warning! Do not remove the battery from the device while you are charging it using the AC or car adapter. As a safety precaution, the battery stops charging when it overheats. When the low-battery warning appears, do the following: • Immediately save your current data. • Synchronize with your PC or connect the power adapter to charge the battery. • Turn off your device.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else.

How to get the most out of your iPod battery

When you first get the iPod make sure to fully charge it. Then only charge the iPod when it is so dead that it will not stay on long enough to play anything. Then allow the battery to charge until a screen appears saying fully charged. This may seem redundant but it ensures the batteries capacity will be maximized for as long as possible. There are only about 1800 charge cycles in an iPods battery life. This may seem like a lot of charging ability but when you wish to keep the iPod for more than a year and a half it becomes more realistic that it is not.
Above all else, never ever remove the iPod from the computer without ejecting it first.
If you are for some reason unable to properly eject the iPod, first shut down your computer before removing the iPod.

Ignition light won't go out dodge dakota 1998

I think you have a defective door ajar switch, this makes the control module think the door is open, that explains the light and the key in ignition warning.

My ipod had a low battery, so i charged i overnight as usual, when i got up the next day it said fully charged and when i unplugged it from the usb, it shut off and would not come back on. ive tried to...

I think you may just have a dead battery. The batteries on the iPod last a long time but they do go bad after years of use.
Occasionally a battery will die almost immediately without warning.
Also, use an AC wall charger to verify it's actually being charged.
USB cables work for transferring music, but are a weak source for charging. If you need a battery click here or check ebay they are fairly inexpensive to replace.

False low battery warning

Same thing happened to me when I used alkaline batteries. Have you tried fully charged NiMH? If not you may have a "leak". Your next option is the service center.

Hold down on the center button while hold down on the menu button. The apple logo will appear. Your Ipod is now rebooted.

Is the new battery fully charged? Usually it takes 6 hours on a new battery.

Coby MP-C7095 Won't turn on

On my Colby player there is a small reset hole in the back. Mine has sometimes just stopped playing and shuts off. If you use a small wire (paperclip works well) push it in and reset it.

IPod mini battery dies when nearly fully charged, often while skipping songs.

iPod batteries are cheap on ebay...like $5...and come with installation instructions. Try installing a new battery and see what happens...?
