F22 error code means that the door lock mechanism is not functioning and the wiring has probably come loose. Open the top (2 screws in back) and you'll probably find (as we have now 3 times) that the wires and door lock mechanism have come loose (no wonder with the vibrations of the spinning drum!). Plug it back in yourself and save the annoying repair bill! Make sure to unplug the washer before you attempt it...

I have a kenmore HE 2t washing machine. It is leaking out the bottom of the front loading door, especially on the delicate cycle. The gasket and door seem to be fine.

Do check the rubber door seal again.

Often you can get a few months' extra life out of the door seal by removing it and replacing it upside down, if it will fit.

Just carry out the indicated additions and subtractions.

5t+t-7t+3t = 2t
-3-5+8 = 0

The result is 2t+0 or simply 2t

*** follow up problem

Hi again,

Hard starting could be caused by:
  • vacuum leak (specially since you can not adjust idle lower). Was the original 2T oil injector to the carb plugged?
  • 2T oil pooling at the bottom/bowl of the carb (specially since you are using pre-mix);
  • the sparkplugs fouls fast/easily. You can try changing the plugs in the morning before you start.
Imagine the scenario of the original arrangement of the carb & 2T oil (not pre-mix); on initial start/early morning, gasoline would be drawn in first without much 2T. This ensures that the engine fires. When it is already running, that would be the only time the oil pump will work and therefore inject the 2T to the carb to mix with the fuel drawn inside the combustion chamber. With pre-mix, the first gasoline used (inside the carb's bowl) has already oil mixed.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
