It is in the hanged mode. You will have to reset the device by the method given below :---
1) Initially Turn off your TI-83 Plus.
2) Now Open the battery panel on the back of the calculator and remove one of the AAA batteries. Keep this battery safe and handy, as you will need it again soon.
3) Press the "Clear" button, and keep it held down.
4) Put the battery back in and turn on the calculator, with the "Clear" button still held down. When the calculator's screen displays the message "RAM Cleared," release the "Clear" button.
5) Remove one of the calculator's batteries again. This time, hold down the "Del" key.
6) Reinsert the battery and turn on the calculator. Release the "Del" key when the screen reads "Waiting...Please install calculator software now."
7) Use the TI Connectivity cable to connect your calculator to your computer. Run the TI Connect software to reinstall the calculator's operating system.
8) Turn off the calculator and disconnect the TI Connectivity cable. Remove the AAA batteries, as well as the small, circular lithium battery Then wait five minutes before putting the batteries back in. Turn on your calculator.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Graph x = ln 3

Solve for x, do not try to graph it using the TI 83 Plus. It only graphs functions not equations.

My TI-83 Plus calculator won't graph anything whatsoever. Did I need new software. Please help me.

First - Are you graphing within the proper window? Hit the zoom button and change it to zoom Standard within the graphing window.

Second - Are you inputting the equation correctly? Make sure you are inputting your equations in a y= format. If possible, please reply with a screenshot of your graph screen.

You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

If the message appears when you try to graph functions deactivate the statistical plots. To do so:

Press [2nd][Y=] to access (STAT PLOTs)
Select [4:PlotsOff] then [ENTER]

That should solve your problem. Post a comment to this thread if you still have trouble graphing.

If the message appears in another context, it sure would help knowing the context of the error.

Graph feature not working on my TI-83 Plus

Simple:

Hit this sequence:

"ZOOM" "0"

That is for the "Zoom Fit" option. The calculator does not like the window you have for the equation you've given it. With this option, it will automatically give you the best fit in the window for the equation!

How to use the texas instruments ti 83 plus

Srry my friend the ti 83 is no magnificent Ti-89. meaning: you have to solve it yourself. There is a method for graphing though. Set the equation equal to zero and then plug the stuff on the other side of the equation into a graph by pressing y= and then typing it in. Then hit graph. Wait for the graph and then hit 2nd calc and select zeros. Bring your cursor using hte arrow keys close to where the line hits the x axis and press enter and then do the same except to the right of that point and then press enter twice and it will display the y which should be the answer
There are quadratic formulas for calculators programmed in tibasic for the calc but other than that there is no way to solve it
