the current OS version available for download is Yosemite 10.10.5
therefore if you wanna instal the older Maverick you need to find it as a torrent file and download it.
The file is around 5.3GB and arrives as a self-installer app in your Applications directory, if you want to install Mavericks on other Macs without having to re-download it on each machine, you will need to copy that installer outside of Applications before attempting the installation, otherwise the self-installer will remove itself upon completion.
Something that happens with Macs is the file permissions get messed up from installer programs. This problem usually can be corrected by running the disk tools program. It is usually located in your Applications folder in the Utilities sub folder.
You did not specify with version of OSX your Powerbook Pro is running. Make sure you have all the updates from Apple for your OS. You might also need to get an update from Fuji for the Hyper-Utility2 software. That can be found here: Fuji
Lastly, iPhoto is compatible for quick downloads from your camera
Download Avast for Mac and run a scan.
It's FREE!!
Go to applications, then utilities and then disk utility, highlight hard drive in left pane and verify disk. Also check and repair permissions on the same page.

Hi Satish
Did you download the Mac Version? .EXE files are for Win PC and won't run on a Mac (Unless you have used BootCamp to install Windows)
The Mac version downloads as a .DMG file (AxureRP-Pro-Setup.dmg) which is a Disk Image and should mount on the Desktop like a Hard Drive.
Apple now turn this off by default so goto Finder Preferences and turn on "Hard Disks" then "Advanced" / Tick "Show all filename extensions"
When the Disk Image shows on the desktop just open it and drag the actual App to the Applications folder (or Desktop). You could then drag it to the Dock at the bottom of the screen to make a quick shortcut (alias)
Also be aware that Apple try to protect your Privacy etc from unauthorised Apps. So if it opens with a warning, you can fix this by going to your System Preferences / Security & Privacy / General and click "Allow Apps downloaded from" click Anywhere.
Hope this takes care of your problem?

Hi Russ unfortunately I cannot help with your query, but have a quick question.. I have a Mac Book Pro running 10.7.5 but cannot get the install cd rom to work, what drivers did you download for it? Many thanks and hope you sorted your issues out! Giles
Molly As it says the file needs an application to open it, what type of suffix does it have on it by this I mean does it have either .zip, .jpg, .doc, .exe or something else on the end of it. This would identify what application you need to open it. Do you know what the file is you are trying to download? If you could tell me what type of file it is I should be able to help you.
Have you tried trashing the version you have & re downloading the most recent version from the Skype website? If this is the only application that's giving you this kind of trouble, its most likely the app. Locate Skype in the Applications folder, drag it to the trash & empty the trash. You can download the latest Skype version here:
