Question about HP Pavilion TX1000Z 12.1" Touch Screen TABLET NOTEBOOK LAPTOP PC PC Notebook

1 Answer

Greetings,\r\n Greetings, I have an HP Pavilion Laptop. When switching it on, I can hear the computer powering up but nothing happens on the screen and this remains blank. I replaced the hardrive and the situation is still the same. Do you have any suggestions as to what could be the problem? Many thanks. JDLR

This issue appears to be due to hardware malfunction of system board of the notebook. However, to confirm the same, I would recommend you to perform the following steps.

Step 1: Hard Reset

To perform a hard reset, please follow the steps listed below:

1. Unplug the AC adapter from the notebook PC and remove from any port replicator or docking station.
2. Remove the battery from the notebook battery compartment.
3. Press and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds.
4. Insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the notebook PC.
5. Press the power button to turn the notebook PC back on.

Step 2: Remove and Reseat the memory modules

Please refer the service manual provided below for information to remove and reseat the memory modules of the notebook.

Refer page no: 43 & 44
NOTE: PDF manuals require the Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing.
Further, if the issue persists even after performing the above steps, then it is clear that the issue is due to internal hardware malfunction of the notebook and it requires a detailed onsite diagnosis by a service technician. At this point, if your notebook is covered under warranty, then contact HP to get the notebook repaired under warranty.

I hope the information provided would be helpful to resolve the issue with the notebook.

Newer HP Pavilion dv6000 turned off while in use and wont turn on

1.Start your computer and see if your hear your fan noise, and cannot see anything on screen then there is problem with your power supply.

2.If you cannot hear your fan noise, and do not see anything on screen, then there is problem with your motherboard

3.if you hear fan noise and can see something on screen, then it is the issue with your hard disk (very less cases)

Mostly it would be the 2nd case that you will have to get your motherboard replaced

1.first shut down the comp
2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery. After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer .

One long beep, two shorter beeps - HP laptop will not start up

Hi...
I had the same problem...
The solution is only temporary and you will have to reapply it after around 5 to 6 boots cuz it'll just happen again (the beep syndrome).

Just heat up the laptop by turning it on and covering its air vents with your hands.

Then after you hear the beeps turn it off.
Turn the laptop on again and immediately turn it over upside down with the lid closed ofcoarse (simply put it on its back).Hopefully you wont hear the beeps and when you open up the laptop lcd...voila display.

My hp pavilion tx1000series won't boot even at bios

EXTREMELY common failure in the TX1000 line. Problem is the mainboard, part# 441097-001. From HP it should only be about $200 on exchange. DO NOT get this part anywhere else, as the OTHER common failure for this model is the wifi goes out.
I do about 10 of these TX's per day, no im not kidding, and i promise you HP has the most stable parts source around for this.

Powers up but black screen shows

1st - Try pressing <Fn> + <BrithnessUP> keys a few times, (on HP <Fn> key is between <Ctrl> key and <Windows> key, <BrightnessUP> key is <F8> key and <BrightnessDown> key is <F7> key. If nothing happens try the 2nd one.
2nd - Plugin external monitor, (type and size doesn't matter). Turn on your laptop. If you can see desktop on the external monitor, your drivers are o.k., The problem is your laptop display, NOT the graphic chip.
