Check the drain line that goes to the outside to make sure it is not clogged.

Have haier HWRO5XCM air conditioner. Outside temp is 75 degrees and I have set on 76. Freezes up and spits ices and water. Help

Clean indoor filter , and coils in unit (you must remove from window and remove top from unit to expose coil, After cleaning coils prop up unit so it slopes to rear and spray back and forth at bottom of front coil until drain is clear . Never turn unit upside down , and do not get water inside of fan motor . Also clean evaporator blower wheel . With unit clean and drained out place in direct sunlight for at least 2 hours to completely dry before replacing top and reinstalling in window , or just drain out , reinstall and leave unit unplugged for at least 24 hours to dry before testing . If unit is clean and still icing , check to see if thermostat works (place object in front of unit to direct cold air from top of unit onto thermostat temperature sensor and compressor should cycle off, if not replace thermostat . If unit still ices you will need a pro to repair sealed system of unit or simply buy a new one .
Thanks,
Alex

I have an LG Neo Plasma air conditioning unit in the living room and the Inverter in the bedroom. I understand these are set up to work together, however, the bedroom unit starts to freeze up (ice)...

I assume its the outside unit of the bedroom that freezes up ?? If the outdoor temperature is below 5 degrees celcuis, its likely to freeze up on the outdoor coil ( On heating mode), there is a defrost function which defrosts the machine automatically. If the indoor unit starts to freeze up ( on cooling mode), I would suggest that there is a shortage of refrigerant gas. Especially if the indoor unit starts to "spit" water out when it is running. There may be a gas leak due to a pipe failure or loose flared fitting. These must be rectified before recharging with gas.

Window air conditioner is spitting water

Hello, usually a window AC will spit water if the unit is not tilted back or if the drain is backed up, if the unit is level try tilting it back it the window somewhat. Also, if the unit does have a drain make sure it is not blocked.

On cool will work for a short time. then will stop regardless of room temperature. If stopped for a short while then restarted will begin to spit water or ice.

Unit stopped by coil sensor when ice formed.

Problem due to weak capacitor of indoor fan motor/short of gas/coil & air filter dust blocked.
Replace fan capacitor/if short of gas, tap up some gas/clean coil and air filter.

Hope, it's helpful.

Water in air conditioner

A lot of the newer window units design the outside fan to pickup the condensate water and sling it onto the coil. The evaporative effect makes the unit run more efficiently. They ususally don't spit, but if the unit is running well, otherwise, I would't worry about it.
