Please help I have the same model TV - thought is was the lamp so ordered a new one. It arrived - and still same issue. We thought the replacement bulb was bad - so returned for another one. SAME ISSUE, There is no picture on the screen and a buzzing noise that starts to diminish. ALso, all 3 lights blink - and the TV goes on and off on its own. Please, please help - the price of a technician is a lot of money and right now - things are very tight. The timing is horrible. Please email me back at Antoniette10@Earthlink.net. if you can be of any assistance Thank you. Thank you!

Antoniette, I had the same problem, however, I heard a noise like the shattering of glass. After replacing the lamp without resolution, I took the guts out only to find that the color wheel shattered. I ordered a new one myself for $90 and will attempt to replace it, it definitely beats the $450 service fee that I was going to be charged. At worse, I'll return the lamp and color wheel and contribute that $450 to a new 56" DLP with a 5-year warranty. You can find well documented instructions online, I used http://kploymp.net/dlp_cw.aspx.

KF42WE610 bad lamp... and ballast?

Hi,
DLP Lamp has electrodes inside and ballast generates high voltage that makes spark on these electrodes thus got high bright light. New lamp wont die due to bad ballast so replace lamp and see tv works or not.
This tv has self diagnostic feature, turn On tv and let it shut down, now check standby light that would be blinking in specific order, for example 3 or 4 times blink then pause for 3 seconds and again blinks.
Let me know how many times standby light blinking in this tv to help you with more info.
Thanks.

I have a panasonic DLP TV model PT56LC70 lamp is blown and out of warranty. Dealer will not renew warranty. and manufacturer says bulb discontinued. lamp original part is luxim lifi electrodeless RF lamp (...

Just to be sure, I looked at your Model Number and found a PT-56LCX70.
I usually order my parts from Andrews Electronics in California, they will have the OEM components that you will need.
Their site is
http://www.andrewselectronics.com/welcome.aspx
And their phone number is a 24-Hour Order Desk: (800) 274-4666
I recommend the phone order so you can talk to the person about the different types of IC’s that are available.

The part number that I was able to find was LFS4000PA1EB.

But I would contact Panasonic about this problem, they have an 18 month warranty on the lamp product.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Samsung SP50L6HX, I replaced the Lamp but still nothing.

Hi, Samsung haves a known issue with the ballast, once you make a replacement of the lamp, sometimes its harder to ignite a new lamp that has 100% of gas inside than igniting a old lamp that has maybe 60% or 50% of gas inside. Just in order to ignite the lamp, the ballast needs to send some High Pulses of Voltage, as high as 15 kV (that is the constant clicking sound that you are hearing). In order to resolve this you need to change the Ballast Board. I tried to look for your ballast with your TV Model # at samsungparts.com , but nothing showed up. You will need to find out which ballast part # you have in order to find it online. To locate the ballast part # please check the end of this video, you only need to take the lower back cover of TV off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jr_9A5Xd2Q
Here is a link of a ballast I found http://www.discount-merchant.com/SAMSUNG-9137-008-08905-Lamp-Ballast-Driver-p/1138231.htm?Click=49915

Turbine/moaning sound and vibration

Hello,
The grinding sound that you are hearing is your color wheel. They can make a noise from a buzz to a power saw type of noise. Usually the set will continue to play with the noise, but it is annoying. You will need to replace the color wheel now.

This is not as easy as the lamp replacement, as you have to pull the light engine to access the color wheel. It is not hard just more work and be careful of the color wheel lenses.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

All you need is a new lamp thats what the 3 lights blinking is indicating. Very easy to do this yourself. Just order a new lamp and let me know when it arrives and I will explain how to change it. Very easy takes about 5 minutes.

SAMSUNG TV MODEL HLR5067W

Sounds like the lamp to me. The projection lamps get hotter as they age and the TVs have a sensor to monitor the temp and shutdown the TV if it get too high
Projection TV makers charge an arm and a leg for their replacement lamps. They make it easy to do but as a result the custom lamp assy is expensive. The trick is to buy just the bulb for your model TV from any number of us aftermarket sources at a fraction of the lamp price and install it in the old lamp yourself. Really easy.

New Lamp or not New Lamp

Do a continuity check on the thermal fuse coming off of connector P1701-P1707, I believe. If it's open, replace it. It's housed right above the lamp on the light engine.
