have you tried the following on the menu :
-adjusting the contrast higher or lower
- adjusting the brightness settings higher
- changing the viewing mode, most will have different modes like, movie/theatre/sport etc

Koss ks2117 home theatre i cant change the the sound mode from stereo when im using dvd. and when i play the fm i could change the sound mode. i cant find the problem?

i would advise you go back to your instructions manual guide as this will help you in areas you have problems. this will guide you on how to go about with the selection of the sound quality

My sony dav dz270 home theatre has no sound through centre and rear speaker

You must have changed the listing mode to stereo.In that mode only the left / right & subwoofer will work. Press the surround button and change it to any other mode .

When I play a DVD the screen is split.

the dvd is made for 4:3 set must change aspect ratio to 16:4 theatre mode.

Only getting left and right speakers from my rtd3131, i have no idea why when i do the sound check they all work

It sounds like your system's audio is set to stereo mode, instead of surround sound. On the bottom-right of your remote, there should be a button labeled "surround" that changes the setting between the two modes. I hope this helps.

I have a LG ht502 home theatre , black and white only

Sir avservice, I have also posted a problem about an HT502 DVD receiver + Home Theater. The sound won't come out of the speakers but only of the Plasma tv. But was working before. And the word "PROTECTION" is appearing on the display screen of the dvd receiver. But good quality picture on the plasma tv. Please help
