I have a Pantech Impact. The internal screen doesn't show anything. Only black screen. The screen is on cuz of the dim black light. You can still hear sounds and work properly except you can't see anything. When i turn off and on, i see the screen loads up and fades away. Another thing happen is that, this problem happen a while ago too and then out of no where, 2 weeks of it not working, it decides to work again for the next week or so and it does the same thing again. Got any solution without contacting At & T or pantech?

The problem of with your phone is that the screen is malfunctioning, that is why it appears and fades out again and will come on for some time and go blank again after some time.

Firstly, what you need to do is to affirm the screen of your phone to the panel of the screen very well because there may be partial contact on the screen.

Get a torx6 screw driver by your side, Power off your phone, remove the battery, turn the phone back, remove the front cover or casing on the phone screen, you will now have the access to the screen, use the torx6 screw driver to tighten all the screws very well to the panel.

After this, you can now couple your phone back and put the battery to power on and see if the screen will come on and stable.

If the problem still persist, then it means the screen of your phone is bad and will need to be replace.

Replacing the screen will make your phone display back and will not be appearing and disappearing anymore.

Follow the first procedure first to see if it will fix the problem, if not proceed to the second.

Your only chance instead of replacing the display is to replace the display flex cable. You can find spare on the market where Pantech spares are sold. If replacing the flex cable doesn't bring the solution, you'll need to replace the Display. The chances of getting it back is less if even after replacing the display can't fix. The technician will need to refresh the Display ic. It's also possible that the connectors are broken or tampered. In case, it's still under warranty, i would suggest you to claim it and get it repaired from their service center. Hope this helps. Good luck. Thanks you for using FixYa.

I have a pantech impact and the front screen is all black. it was in my pocket and was just fine before i put it in there. when i pulled it out the whole front screen was blace except little dots going...

Hi,a black screen for pantech impact are usually caused by the flex of the phone.

The flex of the phone is located inside the phone, it controls the functions of the screen an also the keypads of the phone.

The flex is a thread like object that is located inside the phone. To see the flex, you will need to disassemble the phone to get to the flex of the phone.

After replacing the phone flex, your done.

Also it might be the screen of the phone. But in other to know if it's the screen, you will need to test a new flex.

You can get a replacement flex from any of the phone repair stores around you.

My monitor screen is black and the yellow standby light is blinking. I can not get the light to stop blinking or get the monitor to show anything, but a black screen. What can I do to coerrect the problem?

mcdevito75 here, Press the SHIFT key, a screen should come up telling you too click on your user name, left lower side of screen. If this doesn"t work, press the yellow blinking light on the monitor see if picture comes back, then follow the directions. If this doesn"t work, shut computer down with switch on the computer itself. Hope this helps.

Pantech Matrix screen is almost always black so I can't read it

Many users of the Pantech phones have been experiencing the same thing. There are a lot of default in this phone. I would suggest you to return it to Pantech and try to get a software upgrade (if there is!). Although, I would recommend you NOT to use it. Even if the Pantech exchange it for a new one, the same problem will happened in a day or two.

My monitor isn't showing a picture properly. It is on and working because I can see the picture very dimly and the green power light is on. The frame around the screen was recently damaged - the screen...

I'm assuming you already tried the brightness adjustment.

From your description, the LCD screen itself seems to be intact. The problem seems to be backlighting which could very well have been damaged by a perimeter impact.

If it's still under warranty, contact the manufacturer. Tell them it just stopped working. Don't elaborate on the details.

If not, find an accredited computer repair shop. It's not a big deal to fix as long as the fix is performed by a trained professional.

Delll axim x30 screen remains dimmed even though fully charged

ok , you have checked the brightness settings, check battery power settings as well. you may have to do a hard reset so back up your info. If doing a hard reset, pull the battery and charge it on its own if you have a cradle. Hope this works for you
