The gas line appears clear, when I pulled it off the carb the gas runs quickly out from the tank through the line. I also blew out the carb, it still won't start. I think that maybe something in the carb linkage is messed up-when I push it up to on- it doesn't appeat to move anything-does anyone have a diagram of the carb linkage.

Did it run out of gas when you added gas it could be that the fuel line has plugged up with something from the bottom of the tank take the fuel line off and try blowing threw it and take a air hose and blow out the carb and carb cleaner

1st I would drain the gas and put new in. It loses octane over time. Then try new spark plug. Also you may need a new diaphram in the carburetor. They are cheap and sell them at most hardware stores.

The carbs are plugged. Take the bowl off the carburetor by loosening the nut on the bottom. You'll want to clamp the fuel line before you do this. That nut has a small hole that goes through the nut from side to side, and one that connects them in the center. Use a wire brush to knock all the deposits loose, making sure that the holes are clean and free of obstruction. Put it all back together, and it should run fine.

I just purchased a troy bilt bronco crt tiller. Put oil and gasoline in. Pulled the cord. It started. Ran maybe 15 or 20 seconds and stopped. When I tried to start it again, the cord would not...

remove the spark plug.  And pull the cord again.  if the carb float is stuck down or you overfilled the oil you could be hydro-locking the engine.  Check.
