1. Click Start menu and All Programs to find out System Tools under Accessories. Then click Disk Cleanup and you'll get a wizard which identifies files you can delete and how much disk space can be freed.
2. Select the item Temporary Internet Files and click "Clean up system files" button. Alternative, you can clear temp files manually. Click Start button and type %temp% in the search box and hit Enter key. Then you'll see a list of files and folders which are placed in the temp folder. Select all these files by pressing Ctrl and A and hit Delete. After that, you can click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop and right-click mouse button to empty it.
If you are not experienced computer user and not familiar with these operations, then you can refer to step-by-step guide with screenshots here: http://www.eassos.com/how-to/fix-error-code-0x80004005.php

Open an elevated command prompt.
To open an elevated Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator if that doesnt work you need to fix the registry. CAUTION: you can, and most likely WILL screw your system up bad if you do not know EXACTLY what you are doing. you can get access to the registry by clicking start> accessories>command prompt then typing regedit in the box and click the button. PLEASE READ THE CAUTION I GAVE YOU!!
if you are not fully capable of editing your registry downlo0ad a program called error expert or registry editor or something like it. these programs will fix it for you. error expert is one of the very best you can buy it and download it here:
http://errorexpert.com/

there is a free one called restry manager get it here:
http://www.resplendence.com/downloads
this is the best way for you to go. as my caution said itwill most likel;y mess your system up to the point where you will need to reinstal widows if you goof up editing your registry by yourself.

I have the same regsvr32 wintrust.dll error code 0x80070005 i cant log into my hotmail. i found in another forum that i should try running the following: regsvr32 softpub.dll regsvr32 wintrust.dll...

- Double click on the clock in the taskbar and make sure the system clock is set correctly.
- Disable Zone Alarm
- Register softpub.dll using the regsvr32.exe tool.Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regsvr32 softpub.dll and then click OK.
- Do the same for the following regsvr32 wintrust.dll, regsvr32 initpki.dll, regsvr32 MSXML3.dll.
- Restart Windows Live Messenger.

If you are still unable to fix Windows Live Messenger your computer might be infected, I recommend you Download registry cleaner to fix your errors and speed up your computer.

Hi All,

try this out

  1. Disconnect the iPod from the computer and close iTunes.
  2. Highlight all of the following 10 lines of text that begin with regsvr32 and then choose Copy from the Edit menu of your web browser: regsvr32 /s softpub.dll
    regsvr32 /s wintrust.dll
    regsvr32 /s dssenh.dll
    regsvr32 /s rsaenh.dll
    regsvr32 /s gpkcsp.dll
    regsvr32 /s sccbase.dll
    regsvr32 /s slbcsp.dll
    regsvr32 /s mssip32.dll
    regsvr32 /s cryptdlg.dll
    regsvr32 /s initpki.dll

  3. Open the Notepad program by navigating to:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad
  4. In Notepad, choose Paste from the Edit menu. Note: make sure that the text that appears in Notepad is the same as what is shown above.
  5. From the File menu, choose Save As.
  6. In the File name: field type appleipod.bat and save the file to the Desktop.
  7. Close Notepad and locate the appleipod.bat file. It should appear on the Desktop with the icon shown below: ts1539_1.jpg
  8. Double-click the file and you will see a black window appear on the screen for about a minute. Wait until the window automatically disappears and proceed to the next step.
  9. The appleipod.bat file can be deleted at this time.
  10. Open iTunes and connect the iPod.
  11. When the iPod appears in iTunes, restore the iPod and resync your content.

Fixing Internet Explorer Javascript Links

Sometimes in IE when you try to open links that open in new windows, they don't open. At the bottom left of the IE window you will see a yellow triangle which indicates its a Javascript problem.
  1. Start » Run » Type regsvr32 /s URLMON.dll
  2. Then do the same but change the DLL names to the following:

    scrrun.dll
    Msxml.dll
    Mshtml.dll
    Shdocvw.dll
    Browseui.dll
    Msjava.dll
    Actprxy.dll
    Jscript.dll
    Vbscript.dll
    oleaut32.dll
  3. Restart IE and your links should be fine.
  4. Alternatively you can copy this in to a text file and save it as a batch file (.bat file)

    regsvr32 /s scrrun.dll
    regsvr32 /s Msxml.dll
    regsvr32 /s Mshtml.dll
    regsvr32 /s Shdocvw.dll
    regsvr32 /s Browseui.dll
    regsvr32 /s Msjava.dll
    regsvr32 /s URLMON.dll
    regsvr32 /s Actprxy.dll
    regsvr32 /s Jscript.dll
    regsvr32 /s Vbscript.dll
    regsvr32 /s oleaut32.dll
  5. This will re-register all the DLL files. All of the above are used by IE.
