Dv6315ca bluetooth device not found

Hello,

I downgraded to XP and everything is finally working except the bluetooth. In my device manager I can see the bluetooth bus enumerator under bluetooth devices and the bluetooth icon appears in red on my desktop but when I try to enable it it says that it cannot find the bluetooth device. I have already installed the driver and software for xp for bluetooth and I'm not sure what to do now? My wireless internet works perfectly. And it will not display the bluetooth device in my HP wireless assistant. any help is greatly appreciated.

since I do not have a remove hardware option in my control panel (only add hardware) I decided to go to the device manager and right click on the driver to uninstall but the uninstall option was not available. the only options available were update driver, scan for hardware changes and properties. not sure what to do now?

Cant work bluetooth

Hello,

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,

Uninstall the bluetooth Adapter totally from the System first,

(For WIndows XP)
Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties-->Hardware-->Device Manager,

select the bluetooth Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall

Next, Click on Action on that Same page, and select "scan for hardware changes",

This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your bluetooth Adapter).

(For WIndows Vista)
Right-Click on my computer Icon, go to

Properties-->>Device Manager, select the bluetooth Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall

Next, Click on Action on that Same page, and select "scan for hardware changes",

This will also bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your bluetooth Adapter).

After this, Press your bluetooth button on the system and ensure that it is On, then Scan for bluetooth devices.

It should connect like that.

Try this out and kindly let me know how it goes,

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Goodluck

Windows xp sp3 driver problems on an acer aspire

You should not NEED to install the chipset driver unless there are items in device manager such as (SMBUS controller) that show up with a yellow exclamation point or show up as unknown. Acer is (unfortunately) notorious for putting bluetooth switches and software on laptops that don't have have bluetooth cards from the manufacturer - these laptops are just "bluetooth ready" meaning you will need to install a bluetooth card for it to work.

I have recently downgraded an Acer Aspire 5315 from vista to xp. I've downloaded the drivers and got everything working except the speakers and touch pad? What can i do?

if the speakers and touch pad were working under Vista then the devices are OK and the audio and touch pad driver which you install may not be the correct XP versions.
Check the Device manager to see if these devices are working and enabled. If not try and upgrade and or download the XP drivers for these devices.

Can't Enable the Bluetooth of Dell E5500 370 mini card

Install DELL Application for WireLess 370 Bluetooth Minicard. The application contains bluetooth kernel and driver. Device Manager would not show any device with "?" mark. The device would not be detected until you install the above application.

Help with Toshiba G15-AV501 Qosmio bluetooth!!

The solution to your second problem is to insert the CD Qosmio Player Recovery CD. The buttons on the top do actually work (most of the time) yet it seems for some reason qccasionally it takes the CD refresh to get them working again. The picture and sound are great once you have got them working. So, don't be discouraged it's a great PC (once you have resolved your problems) I have had mine for 3 years w/o problems except for this one just described. Good luck.

One other thing I did have trouble with the Bluetooth, I resolved it by buying a Targus Bluetooth dongle, (disaabling all built in Bluetooth) then everything "paired" and worked easily, (unlike the built-in)

HP DV6315ca wireless not working

if you dont see it in the device manager , then you have an item listed as yellow /unknown device ,that is the wireless and needs the driver installed.
if you see neither then you may have disabled the wireless in the bios.
