I am unable to reset my pioneer deh p4100. I see no reset buttons nor switches on the faceplate or the in-dash unit. The radio is on full volume and none of the controls or buttons are responding. This happened after a hot day and when the faceplate was installed this happened.

try pressing the reset switch. should be a pencil tip sized hole on either the face or the subpanel. barring that you can try disconnecting power to the radio for a few minutes.

Pioneer DEH-400UB: The radio all of a sudden wont turn off no matter how long I hold down the source button, so I cant change any of the settings that require the machine to be switched off.

You need to do a reset. Try to find a place either on the faceplate or behind the faceplate that looks like you could press it with a ball point pen. If that doesn't help try a hard reset. Disconnect the wiring harness from the Pioneer for about 1 minute then plug it back in. If still not working then the source button might be the problem. Can you still switch sources at all? Good luck.

if all you need to do is get the cd out there is a small hole in the foront of the unit just big enoufe for a papper clip just stratien one out and put it in the hole but if you want to fix your unit then you will have to take the face plate apart get the soda out of the face plate i always use glass cleaner and cotton swabs for this just make shure you get any and all residue off before you put it back togethr and make shure you clean the rubber pads under the buttons and you should be good to go

CD Stuck in cd player

There should be a reset button on either the face of the player or under the faceplate if its removable (tiny black button). Otherwise to remove the cd disconnect the unit and then plug it in or remove the memory fuse or battery lead for 5 seconds.

Hello

Hi,

Pls verify your wiring. The Pioneer DEH-P4100 uses the below speaker wiring.
f2dc9bc.jpg
whereas a typical 2000 Ford Mustang that does uses an external amplifier would be using the below wiring scheme in its two (2) connectors.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Check none of the buttons are stuck in. Try pressing the reset button. I think it is bottom right and recessed in a hole. The unit should be on and you'll need something pointy like a pen or toothpick. If you cant find the reset button, disconnect the car battery for a minute or two. If that doen't work, then it will probably need repair.

make sure that you have power not only to the red wire but also the yellow wire... one is battery power the othe ris ignition on power. If it only is getting one power it might not think the ignition key is on.. also maks sure there is not a reset button somewhere that you can press with a pen...
