Question about Samsung HCN653W 65" Rear Projection Television
Timer light comes On shows that tv shuts off in protection mode due to internal high temperature to avoid any damage to light engine. It is safety feature that monitors temp in tv and shut off tv in case temp raises for some reason.
Possible causes are either air flow is not good (fans are running slow) or tv is too close to wall and causing blockage of hot air exhaust.
Another reason could be temp sensor got bad and sending wrong signal to system control to shut down tv. Temp sensor is mounted on lamp housing to monitor temperature inside lamp housing because dlp lamp produce a lot heat and fans blow air to cool it down.
Hope these info will help you to check tv and fix the issue.
Let me know tv model number written on back if you have additional question.
