First try the "chipping" method. If you have any old cartridge, take the chips from them and replace it on the new cartridge. In most cases, swapping the chip is perfect. If you are till having the same problem even after this, please let me know. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

ok if i swap the chips on the cartridge and the cyan works because the cyan cartridge is brans new, does that mean i have to replace the cyan circuit or sensor which detects the toner bottle??

There is nothing like that, we can use the chip on any one of the cartridges, whether cyan, magenta or yellow, you can swap anytime. This is the problem caused by the contact point. If you want specific answer, I would suggest you to get it repaired from the service center. Here, we have to only supply quick solutions because we cannot physically attend your machine. I hope you understand. I am sorry that I had not given you the specific answer to fix it. I have not more tips from my side.
    Good luck.
    Thanks for using FixYa.

Seems that the sensors are not recognizing the toner cartridges.Remove the cartridges and clean the metal contacts in the cartridge with with cotton/alcohol.Also where the cartridges are installed in the printer there are some sensors clean that and check out.If still the same problem of cyan cartridge missing then the internal sensor of the printer which detects the cyan circuit needs to be replaced. Thanks.

Ricoh aficio Aficio 3224C used toner bottle -1 is full

On a 3224, the used toner bottle is easily replaceable. To get to it, open the front cover of the copier. In the lower left corner, you will see a white or light gray plastic container which slides straight out -- that is the used toner bottle. You can replace it (if you have a new one) by taking the old one out, putting the black plug in the hole to prevent toner from spilling, throwing it away, and inserting the new bottle. If you don't have a new used toner bottle, you can empty this one out into a large bag or trash can and then reinstall it.

Aficio CL1000N Printer: On my Ricoh aficio CL1000N it says add toner Cyan....

If I remember right, the CL1000 won't print if any of the 4 colors are out. You have to replace the cyan toner in order to print, even in black and white.

If you haven't tried already, you can try taking the cyan toner out and shaking it up (just a little bit) to try to get the printer to find the little bit of toner left in the bottle.
