Question about Mitsubishi CS-40507 40" TV
I have a Mitsubishi 40'' CRT TV. It's older but it's a great TV. After a recent thunderstorm a couple of items, all connected to verizon fios, developed a few problems. the day after the storm I tried to turn this TV on and nothing happened. No flash , no sound, no crackling, nothing. So it's either time to burry it or maybe there's some fuse or reset switch on the inside that would solve my problem. Does anyone know if fuses or a reset switch might be inside this 300lb beauty. I'll also take any other suggestions as to what may have happened and how it might be fixed. Thanks for listening and I look forward to any help.
Without a surge protector could have spiked the
Tvs circuity boards
without the TV having any defaults or life from the screen
doubt if a digital desk top unit to tune it would help

Unplug it ,leave it unplugged for at least an hour.
now slowly plug back in , if you notice a small spark coming
from the plug when you plug it in that's normal
which means most likely the regulator or output tran is out.
is about 150.00 200.00 normal cost. no more.
If the plug doesn't spark at all when you plug it in slowly
could be a Fuse :>
