Hi. The value of any sewing machine is purely subjective. Sewing machines were made by the millions and the ones made prior to about 1970 were generally extremely well engineered, constructed of metal, and--with just basic, routine maintenance-- will last for many decades. All my regular sewing is done on machines that range in age from 50 to 90 years.
Machines like yours aren't at all rare (sorry) but there are people out there who do like the old machines. You can look on Ebay to get a feel for how much people are willing to pay for machines like yours.
Sometimes a machine, such as Singer model 221 Featherweight, will become valuable. Quilters love this type of Singer because it's small, lightweight/portable, and has a marvelous stitch. One in excellent (meaning showroom) condition might sell for $400 or $500......but I could find any number of them at garage sales for $25.00 or less! (And there are lots of sewers out there who don't like them because all they do is straight stitch.)
This probably isn't what you want to hear. . . .

What are the serial numbers on modern age sewing machines made in Japan? It's metallic blue, I believe it was made in the 1950's

There is no Make or Model name or even a model number? Japan cloned a lot of sewing machines for many years--even machines sold by JC Penney, Montgomery Ward, etc.

I have an old Singer Treadle Sewing Machine but do not know where to locate the serial number to help find the value. Where should it be located?

Hard to say. Serial numbers can be found almost anywhere. Sometimes they are stamped in the metal of the base, maybe under the machine. Check the edge of the base if it is installed in a cabinet. Machines like this usually have only a serial number, no model number. The serial number will designate the model number on this list:

Don't expect it to be worth a whole lot of money. Most of the time, their biggest value is to the owner who can continue to use these awesome machines for many years yet.

Value is not easy, but they are not worth as much as you probably think it is.

How do i find model type of singer sewing machine?

    Search the internet for:

    Make + Model

NOTE: vintage Singer sewing machines usually have only a serial number and any information will be based on that number.

Do you have a model number? That looks like a serial number.

Pre 1955 machines were made by companies like National Sewing Machine company. After that they were made in Japan. So maybe to help us out... you can post a picture of your machine?

I have an old Brother Sewing machine Model#A74331 made in occupied Japan how do I find out the value?

you can take it to your local sewing and vacume repair shop as THEY are the experts, but I deal in Vintage machines and they're only worth what someone will pay for them. Because of the difficulty in finding replacement parts, few working seamstresses will want them and they're usually only purchased for novelty value....... and then there's the name, sorry, it's not exactly a Rolls Royce of sewing machines. hope this helps more than it hurts.:)
