I have one of the above TV's and it simply will not turn on. There is no power getting to the TV, the lead is fine as it works with a seperate TV, but the stand by light will not turn on.

when you plug it in do you have a standby light on the tv if you have a standby light but no power then you either need to replace caps in the power board or a new power board

My DYNEX 19" LCD TV dont turn on?

Power at the outlet? ok?
Plugged in the outlet? ok?
Power cord plugged in to the REAR of the tv very snug? ok?
Using the remote? Batteries ok? ok?
Red light on? ok---- Unplug the tv for a few seconds and retry. ok? Still no-go?
Unplug the tv and remove the rear cover, remove the stand screws to do this. ok?
The small circuit board ( you will be certain you have the correct board simply because it is the smaller of the two boards. The Mother board is much larger. Another way to be sure you have the correct board is to folow where the power cord connects to the tv----that board!!! )ok?
Now, very important!
There are small components called CAPACITORS. They are approx. 1/2 inch high and about the size of your pinky finger around. They all look about the same, but vary in size. They will have an "X" marked on the top usually. Now, this is what to look for! They must be FLAT on top. If they are round, buldging, or burnt then they are BAD!!! Take care and you can easily remove the board by simply removing the wires and screws from the board. (be sure to draw on paper where things go or otherwise mark where they go so reinstalling the board will be rather easy)
Remove any glue from them carefully and then using a soldering iron or gun just simply melt the solder on the rear of the board and pull them out. Take them with you to your local electric supply store and solder in the new ones. Look for any bad ones on the MOTHER board also and replace if needed. Rarely are they bad. The problem is nearly always with the POWER board.
With everything hooked back up and put back together, plug the tv in to the outlet and turn on the tv. Voila, enjoy!
NOT willing to do this. Well, simply get the model number, etc., and google the power supply for it and order it. Install it, trust me you CAN do this, and There you go. Enjoy!!!

Tv does not have power ....outlets work fine, plug is in correctly

There may be a master switch on the back or side of the tv that has been accidentally turned off. If there is, simply switch it back on and you should have power to the TV. Hope this helps =]

My tv dont want to turn on

Check power connections. Try different power outlet.

If it simply wont do anything,. you will need to contact Vizio. It is possible the tv has simply fried itself.

My plasma's power light is orange and when I press the on/off button nothing happens. What should I try next?

Hello Sir, hi, when your TV's power light is orange, it's on "standby mode" meaning the power supply will not respond to any power switch press. the standby by mode can be anything, this could be that the TV is not receiving any signal, this could also be that some thing a part or a section of the TV goes bad that makes overload. This needs to be checked thoroughly, I cannot be particular on this section simply the trouble is to broad to explain, this needs a pro for checking, but if you want a quick answer, simply replacing the entire power supply board will restore the TV back.

My TV will not Power On

Hi, this will happen if your power supply board is failing to regulate the proper current and distribute it through out the set. if you unit will not power up when you push the power button, this will confirm power board failure.

simply replacing the power board assembly will fix this issue.

Ilo tv isn't working

Try a power drain:
1. Unplug the TV's power cable so that the TV is not grounded to the house.  Do not simply turn off a powerbar if one is in use. 2. Press and HOLD the TV's own power button for one minute to drain the capacitors. 3. Plug the TV back into a wall outlet versus a powerbar, if one is in use and see if this makes a difference.
If the TV still won't turn on but you have a LED light flashing, the problem is usually with the TV's mainboard and not the power supply or the LED wouldn't even be on.  Service is likely required.

My Panasonic TH-42PX80U shows to have power but does not power on

You most likley have an issue with your power supply. I am sure you have AC getting to the power supply but he question is are there any DC voltages coming out of it to make the set operate? I would suggest changing the power supply first.
