step 2- messaging
step 3- set up email
step 4- enter details
step 5- it should be complete
push email requires exchange which is usually only given if you are connecting to a work email.
otherwise you can select your inbox to retrieve mail at minimum every 5 minutes- which should be sufficient and much more battery efficient then push-email.
