Indiglo on Timex Expedition not working

When activating the Indiglo by pressing in the stem on my Timex Expedition only a tiny horizontal **** at the bottom edge of the face lights. Any ideas? I have changed the battery and attempted to align the back with the arrow pointing both toward and away from the stem and also with the back's cover text reading top to top with the face writing. Unfortunately I get the same result. Only a **** of color at the bottom of the watch face when attempting to light it.

SOURCE: Timex Expedition, beeps very quietly and indiglo doesn't work.

To clarify... Replace the cover with the arrow on the back pointing directly at the stem. The Indiglo backlight, alarms and chimes should all work when the back cover is in this position.

Timex Expedition Compass watch stops randomly.

Some watches have crowns that screw in after being pushed home, is this the case with yours? If it is then that could cause the problem described. (Turn crown clockwise).

I looked at one or two of the Expedition instructions (the are a lot) but couldn't find any mention of a screw in crown.

I suggest that you go to Timex.com and at the bottom of the page is "manuals/downloads" select this and the "product manuals". Put your watch type in the search box to obtain your manual.

If you are still not able to solve the problem, the I suggest you take it back to a Timex dealer to sort it out.

I had the same problem, and could not find any answers on timex.com. After you place the battery in and it begins to beep, push all four buttons in at the same time. This should "reset" the watch -- at least it did for me.
