Question about Panasonic TH-37PX25U/P 37 in. HDTV Plasma
It could be a setting on your cablebox or satelite box.
make sure your settings are for 1080i and 480i on the 4:3 over ride.
if you have satelite, push the format button, on the top or sometimes bottom of the remote.
if you have a cablebox, go into menu or settings, then find the output formats section. under that section you have video outputs, and you need to set it to 1080i for hd channels.
If your tv is truly stuck on just format, you may need to "hard boot" or reset your tv. unplug it from power and wait 2 minutes. then plug it in, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on and see if it behaves correctly.
many people have issues because they do not have the hd boxes hooked up with hd cables. only hdmi, component video (5 rca cables) or dvi will provide this. make sure you are using hdmi or component video from your sat or cable box to ensure you get the correct hd signal. let me know what you find, we can solve this for sure.
