Question about InFocus IN72 Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

I can't get the sides of the image to be perfectly vertical. Either one or both seem to angle slightly inward at the bottom. Tilting or shifting the projector does not seem to help. What can I do?

Door sticks terribly...

First check to make sure that the hinges are securely fastened to the door jamb. Gently try to tighten all screws but be careful not to over-tighten or strip the screw heads. It's possible loose screws could be causing the door to hang slightly making it fit improperly into the door jamb.

It's also possible that the door frame isn't 100% "true" and it could be causing the storm door to get caught along the top or bottom edge. You can check with a level to make sure that both sides of the door are plumb (perfect 90 degree angle). You can also use a carpenter's square to check that all of the interior angles in the door jamb are 90 degrees respective to each other.

If everything is square then it could be that the hinges on the storm door are not aligned properly. With the storm door slightly ajar use a level on the vertical edge both at the top and the bottom. It should, ideally, be the same as the door jamb. If it's slightly off you could try shimming either the top or bottom hinge as necessary to even the storm door until it is aligned with the door jamb.

If you find that your door jamb is not "true" then you may need to consult with a carpenter or storm door installation expert to find a way to trim your storm door or refit it for easy opening and closing. Many older homes settle over time and sometimes door jambs slip out of alignment. The door itself may still open and close as usual but it may have sufficient gaps on all sides to prevent it from getting stuck. The newer storm door may be too tight a fit and catching on a door jamb that has settled out of true.

I was given a pair of 10X42 powerview FOV293FT the Prisms seem to have shifted can they be repaired and would this be cost efective Ian South Africa

If there has not been a major blow, it is in most cases straightforward to align that double image.
Begin by looking if any of the eyepieces or front tubes are jammed, if so they need to be straightened or replaced.
Another problem is if something rattles, and if you notice that it affects the double image. It could for example be the prism holders, or the front lens of the eyepieces. If you are lucky it is just the adjustment screws not being properly screwed in, see below, otherwise this problem needs to be taken care of firsthand.
For adjustment of the double image binos come with three more common options. There are in some cases concentric adjustment rings around the front lenses. More frequently on porro binos there are adjustment screws on the prism housing. You find them under the front and rear edges of the rubber fascia. Or with roof prism binos you often adjust the angle of the eyepieces with in that case adjustment screws on their periphery
To adjust you first pull the two tubes apart a little, look then at something with horizontal and vertical lines in the distance, for example a building. The image will look like bino views in a movie film, with two different circular fields of views kissing each other in the middle.
It is easy to see malalignment for horizontal lines as they go from left to right. These are also the most important to adjust. For vertical lines you need to scan left and right and see if the image jumps sideways. This direction is actually not totally necessary to get perfect, the eyes can slightly adjust for this, but at the price of fatigue.
Be careful and make small adjustments at a time. You should be done in a few minutes.

How to replace imaginging on bizhub 35

Open the front door/cover.Slightly push down the imaging unit which you want to replace.Pull the imaging unit outward, make sure first push it downward then pull it out towards yourself.Imaging unit will come out easily. After doing this, open up the new imaging unit.Remove its covering. Now put it straight, Green drum should be downward.Fit it to the machine from where you pulled out the old one. There are sliding at both side of imaging unit.make sure it sits perfectly in the machine gap.after inserting the imaging unit push it inward until it stops. If you heard a clicking sound then it means imaging unit has been fitted.

Fujifilm s1730 when i take a picture the buildings on the outside of the picture curve inwards and are not vertical as it should be

When shooting wide angle pictures (as you would be doing when shooting buildings) the sides of the pictures will curve inwards...the wider the angle, the more pronounced the curve will be. This is perfectly normal.

Hi I have a KOHLER Fairfax Chrome Double-Handle WaterSense® Bathroom Faucet and the drain stopper keeps popping out. My husband and I have tried numerous times to fix it and can't. I also cannot...

Un screw the nut on the drain tail piece that attaches the rod to drain pipe .Pull the rod out just slightly.Hold the drain plug in the hole with the notch sitting side ways.Push the rod back in angled so that the tip inside drain is angled up.You should feel it go through the notch on the drain plug .If it has you should not be able to pull it out.Tighten the nut hand tight and work the plunger it should be attached .If not loosen the nut again pull back on the rod and shift it around until you feel it go through the notched hole on the plug bottom

My makita 2703 blade movement quirks

Here are two links for the parts manual and the owners manual. It is not uncommon for a tool to go slightly out of line with use due to vibration and and movement of the arbor. As for the tool not tilting, it just sounds like the worm screw and gear are off line. this is a pretty quick fix but it requires you to turn your saw upside down to access the set screws. I glanced at the diagram and it looks like the handle for the adjustment is held on by a set pin. you will also be able to access this from inside the cabinet.

My picture slants in towards the top from bottom

The issue has to do with something called "Keystone". This allows you to set the projector at an angle and project on an angle. When you set the projector on a flat surface, you would need to adjust the keystone to get rid of the "trapazoid" look of the image.

Canon 12x36 is binoculars

Your alignment is out in the vertical. There are two prisms on each side and you want to adjust the lower ( on the right side ) prism so that you correct the image in the vertical dimension. Caution : it doesn't follow that just because the image seems to be out on the right hand side that it is the right side that fas to be adjusted. So be prepared to adjust the other side. Also the best is to adjust little bit on each side until alignment comes right.
