How to remove hard disk password from PC?

That is two different things.

A BIOS Password makes you enter a password to boot the machine up. To get rid of this you need to google
make model remove bios password
This requires shorting two pins on the motherboard.

A Hard Disk Password is something different. The requires a password to access files on the hard drive, but not the operating system. To defeat that, you need to reformat and reinstall Windows.

DELL VOSTRO 1520 SYSTEM PASSWORD

If BIOS password is enabled, only way to get rid of it is to perform BIOS reset. Has to be done by BIOS jumper, or some cases removing the CMOS battery.

Can you show me how to disable bios password on acer travelmate 2350

The BIOS password is a hefty security measure, and consequently, is difficult and in some cases impossible to disable if you do not already know the password that was set. Dell offers a recovery service if you can prove purchase. Acer does not provide any kind of easy solution, but most use a BIOS developed by Phoenix, and you might (and thats a big might) be able to recover the BIOS (a.k.a. wipe the original, which requires a password, and replace it with a 'fresh' one). If you are interested in this endeavor, I came across a handy tutorial if you want to try it out. http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/326954-case-you-kill-your-phoenix-bios-bios-recovery-methods.html

I forgot my bios password and i need to get in the menu to get rid of the bios password

Sadly there is little you can do to get rid of the Bios password. I'm replying to this, knowing that you won't like to be told this and in all probability leave me an "unhelpful" award. However, and after trying about every approach I could a few years ago to get past the Bios password, eventually gave up. I'd rather save you the hassle I went through.

There are a number of people who will offer (at a price) to remove this for you. I seriously doubt they can do it. The only real solution, is to have the bios chip replaced by a professional, or replace the motherboard. Note that often, even if you get past the bios pass, the hard drive may be locked in a similar fashion, this cannot be removed, and the hard drive will not reformat even if done externally.

If you want to have a go, and you know WHICH bios is on the laptop, you can try the software on this site (which is what most of the so called "bios hackers" who will charge you money for this, get their codes from).

I had unplugged all leads from my pc,now it wont set up,and is asking me for a password

Is it the Operating System asking for a password or the bios asking for a password. If it is the bios, the only way to get rid of it is to remove the small lithium battery from the motherboard (it is in the shape and size of a quarter).Remove it for a few minutes and put it back in, that will get rid of the password.

Got a dell studio 1735 lost bios password

The jumper should be right next to the CMOS battery. It is also completely possible that simply pulling the CMOS battery would reset the BIOS enough to get rid of the password.

I bought this toshiba satellite m20 in an auction. its asking for an administrator password. HOw can i remove the password?

Is the BIOS asking for a password or is Windows asking for a password? If it's the BIOS then you might never get the password off. Seldom can you remove the password from a laptop's BIOS without already knowing the password. If it's Windows that's asking for the password, then try reinstalling your operating system. This will get rid of the password and anything else that may be lurking around in the computer from the previous owner.
