Question about Audio Players & Recorders

I have a set of RM300 Polk sub-sattelite speakers. Have had them for some time and still love em but.... The foam surrrounds on the bigger sattelites have disintegrated. Polk says too old cant fix. Really, isnt there some way to fix them. They just dont make them like this anymore.

Yes they can be re-surrounded. It is not that hard, it just taes some practice. How big are the speakers? Look for a local speaker repair shop. They are few, but still exist. The hardest part is finding the correct surround. As long as the remainder of the speaker is in good shape, you will find these to be good as new once done. FIrgure about 2-3 days to complete the job properly.

Have jvc rx-2020v receiver with mono rca out for sub and trying to hook it up with polk audio rm 1000 w sub woofer with +/- terminals for both left ane right channels plus blue terminal(?). How to?

Your Polk Audio subwoofer is a passive sub and your JVC mono output is for connection to a powered sub. If the JVC does not have an amplified output for a passive sub, you'll either need to get an amplified sub, a different receiver, or buy a dedicated mono subwoofer amplifier.

I'm having a problem with sound from a Marantz SR48 MKII. I have a pair of Klipsch monitors connected to the "system 1" outputs on the Marantz and a Polk PSW100 connected to the "system...

I'd say you DO need to evaluate how the PSW is attached. I can't find the specific manual for it but the prescribed way for most subs that accept speaker level inputs (and HAVE speaker level output terminals) is run one pair of speaker outputs from the receiver to the sub and daisy-chain the Klipsh speakers from the sub.

@i have a set of dimensia spk500 rca speakers, which need the sub-woofers replaced.they call for an 11"cross carbon woofer. can you help?

you can replace the foam on the woofers if thats the only issue. I have a set of these and it takes an angel foam and glued to the inside. a 10" foam is what it takes. you can find them on ebay and other web pages. 10" foam surround.

I have a Fisher RS-909 Surrond Sound amplifier. It has no "sub out" jack. I had the sub-woofer working in the past by wiring it as shown in the manual. The problem is that the system was in...

Alright i had a chance to look over things, this is how you are going to hook up the sub. first we'll be connecting the surround sound unit to the sub woofer.
surround sound unit sub woofer
left front: positive (+) <-----to------------->(+) left speaker level in
negative ( - )<- - -to- - - - - - ->( - ) left speaker level in

right front: positive (+) <-----to------------->(+) right speaker level in
negative ( - )<- - -to- - - - - - >( - ) right speaker level in

now that the surround sound unit is connected to the sub woofer you will need to connect the front surround sound speakers to the sub woofer.
sub woofer front surround sound speaker
left speaker level out (+)<-----to--------> (+) left front speaker
left speaker level out( - ) <- - - to- - - - ->( - ) left front speaker

right speaker level out (+)<-----to--------> (+) right front speaker
right speaker level out( - ) <- - - to- - - ->( - ) right front speaker

Alright now that the wires are all over the place and plugged in
turn everything on and see how it sounds. let me know if everything is working as it should. if you need help with anything else or if something does not seem right please feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone

New polk psw110 sub for rca rt2250 reciever

Hi there.
To answer your question;
There is no problem in using both subs at the same time. As a matter of fact you could split your signal in ten and have a sub for each one of them.
You`ll just have to set the subs levels so they match each other and i`d say the more sound to the larger sub.
Just try it at different sound level and you`ll find the correct setting.
Have fun Happy holidays

Can n ot get rear surrround speakers to work

On this reciever you have rear surround and rear back spkrs, if your using the surr back they have to be assigned if unassigned in the settings. If using rear surr spkrs change your surr field to 5ch stereo and your rear speakers will work.
There is no 7.5 unless you have 5 subs the 7 is the total number of speakers and the .1 is the number of subs in the system
