Repairing Battery packs is usually a skilled labor job, and not for the DIYer. It requires opening the plastic case carefully, pulling apart the cells, load testing each one to find the dead, or dying cells, and replacing them with new ones. They also need to be spot welded together. Some companies even have counters built into the circut to fail a battery after so many cycles. I have attempted these repairs a handful of times usually with disasterous results.

Battery gets down in 3-4 days ,initially it shows 15-15.8 volts ,battery dealer says its probled =

From what you describe your battery pack is compromised either having a dead (weak) cell or cells or the battery monitoring system (BMS) is faulty, or a combination of both. When the dealer says it is a circuit problem, the circuit would be the charging circuitry (BMS). I suggest that if the battery has any age on it or high cycles (charges/discharges) then it most likely has a dead cell(s) and when deciding to change the battery pack be sure to have the BMS system checked and repaired if necessary.
Best wishes!

Card indicates memory error what can be done to correct this problem and also save dictation already on there ?

Hi cazpell,

If you're encountering a memory error, it is often caused by the battery pack. Battery packs included with the DS-4000 are rechargeable battery packs. This problem is likely to happen on the DS-4000 when a NEW battery pack is being used. The battery pack out of the box does not hold enough charge to power up the recorder through its initial start-up procedure.

1. Please turn off the recorder.

2. Remove the battery pack and memory card for 20 seconds.

3. Install the memory card in the card slot.

4. Install new AAA batteries before you turn ON the DS-4000.

5. Your battery pack may also not be fully charged. All new battery packs must be fully charged from 2.5 to 3 hours before first time use.

6. For the first week to 10 days of use, it is recommended to recharge the battery pack as often as possible. This will exercise it and improve its charge-hold capacity.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Canon PowerShot G1: If battery pack is fully charged, can a dead Button Battery (CR2016) cause the camera to not power up? Thank You

No. The coin battery only powers the memory for the camera settings such as date & time. I suspect you have a chip failure and will need to send the camera off for repair. I know, I know,.... these repair places are a rip-off because they quote a flat rate for repair, even if it's a $3.00 chip set.

Left computer running with charger connected. Screen went blank and light showing power connected was no longer lit. New charger did not solve it. New battery (with some charge) worked. Still no charge so...

If your charger is working properly and the laptop is as well, then the laptop should work without a battery in it at all. If your new battery worked and laptop worked with it until the battery died, then the charger or charge port is damaged.

If it does not work with charger plugged in without a battery, then your charger(s) or the laptop charge port itself may be damage or broken. Or worse, the laptop may be dead.

If the laptop does nothing even with a good battery with charge (no fans, no boot, nothing on-screen, no noises) you're laptop could be dead; likely a burned motherboard or processor. It may have overheated or something along those lines.

Wii will not turn on - will replacing the battery make any difference?

I am guessing by battery you mean the external power pack. Most likely your power pack is dead. Some people with the same problem have said that unplugging the power pack for several minutes to an hour, then plugging it back in worked just fine. It is also what Nintendo Customer Service will ask you to do before considering repair.

MY GAME STOPPED WORKING AND DOESN'T READS A GAME

No, the only way to stop this problem is to change the battery because it is dying or dead; this is causing the memory erases. What you need to do is take the cartridge and unscrew it and change the battery. Here is a guide to replace it:http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-replace-the-battery-in-a-pokemon-goldsilve/If you aren't good with soldering, I would recommend just buy a new Pokemon Crystal game.

Is the battery pack dead? I was given a brand new

This is most likely a defect in the part of the laptop that uses the battery. You could try a new battery but most likely the laptop is in need of repair. If it is new you can contact acer and have it serviced under warranty. if you need further assistance let me know. Also please take a moment to accept and rate my solution.
Thank you,
lee
