may be a real simple , lets try this. unplugh the unit, and uscrew rear panel of the unit, there is a thermostat that may have tripped, very small maybe the size of a quarter, with 2 wires on it, easy to sppot because it will have a small red button atop of it, its resettable, so if it did "trip" melrey reset and your on your way, there are actuallly 2 of theese thermostats on your unit, and actually a more common one to trip would be the one in the control panal, so id prblaby check this one first, to acces it remov eht knobs, then wehere the knobs were are "large plastic lock washers" holding down the control panel, one around earch knob opening, after ermoving htem the control panel will lift up and lean over. i belive there are 4 screws to remove the clock(plenty of slack in wiring no worry)after thats out of the way, if you look down under behind the switch to right is the same resetable thermo(lok for the the red button) and with a small long screw dricer youll be able to reset it, this should cure you issue. sounds like a ton of directions but should take no maore than 20 min, to check em both

The F31 is an error code indicating that water temperature sensor error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire connection on the water temperature
what you have to do to fix up this is to unscrew (open)ranger then trace the wire down to the reader sensor/panel clean all form of water and dirt around them after all this make sure that all wire are in there position mostly on the panel then couple it back as it was with this the problem of F31 is solve please do this with care

F31 means there is a short in the oven cavity probe circuit. The probe is the one of easiest things to replace. But this could be a control as well. To start, remove power from the range, unplug it. Remove bottom backguard panel, look for two purple wires leading down to a small white connector, which will lead you to a rectangle piece of metal (approx 1 X 3/4in) with one corner tucked in the body and a screw on the other end. This will be located on the right hand side of the back about half way up. Once you remove the screw, twist from the corner, slide out gently. http://b2b.frigidaire.com/support/manuals.asp?user=&NewSearch=New+Search will provide documentation for a part number for the "probe" or may be called "RTD."
I would be glad to provide more detail if you like, I would need more details in return...

Tips for a great answer:
Thank you for your inquiry, friend!
Based off what you have described your Frigidaire range is displaying an F31 error code and you would like to know what it means. An F31 error code means a shorted probe connection. This could be a possible problem with your sensor probe, control panel, or probe connector. I would recommend performing a reset on your range and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for at least ten minutes. If that does not correct your issue you may need to seek help from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. Best of luck! -Matt

Hello Jim, thanks for your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire range, LFGF3014LBC, is displaying an error code of "F31". The "F31" error code stands for a shorted probe connection which could be an issue with your EOC (Electronic Oven Control), wiring harness, or RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector). I would suggest performing a reset on your range to help clear out any false error codes. You can reset your range by flipping off the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

Good Morning friend, thank you for your inquiry!
From what you have described your Frigidaire range is displaying an "F31" error code. An "F31" stands for a shorted probe connection. This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector), EOC (Electronic Oven Control), or wiring harness. Good Afternoon friend, thanks for your post!
Based off the information you have been able to provide an "F31" error code stands for a shorted probe connection. Typically this means you could have issue with the RTD (resistance temperature detector) sensor probe or the wiring harness between your control panel and probe connector. Since it could be any one of these under lying issues I would recommend a professional come out and properly repair your appliance. Hope this helps. -Matt
